The image of a man appears in front of me, his eyes were cobalt blue and his hair was silver white. He speaks to me, he laughs with me and I became so happy, a smile was seen on my face.
" You're so pretty when you smile," he said to me. I looked at him with the violet eyes of mine, I moved my lips trying to say out my words but as soon as I spoke, he disappeared into thin air. I dreamt of him again I suppose, he always meets me in my dreams, that mysterious man with cobalt blue eyes.
I jumped out of bed, made my bed and went to the bathroom to wash myself clean. I looked into the mirror and looked deeply into my eyes, my eyes that can never shed a single teardrop. I washed my face and was about to take a shower but someone had knocked on the door, I washed my face and brushed my teeth quickly.
Rushed to the door and opened up to see Martha who was out in the field just now, " Erisia hurry, we have to go to the fields and harvest the fruits! They've ripened up so wonderfully and big too."
I told her that I would ready myself and eat first before I harvest them, I have not even fixed my hair yet. I went to the kitchen and made myself breakfast, ate them and fixed my raven black hair into one long braid. I wore a simple blue gown not longer than my knees and black loafers.
Martha was outside waiting and once I came out, she smiled and slowly smirked while saying ," wow! you look amazing Erisia, you do know we are merely harvesting the fruits and not seducing any noble bachelors out there ."
I put up my grin and pinched her arms like fireants that had crawled up in her sleeve and she squealed in pain," Ouch! That hurts, your pinches are definitely poisonous because I think I'm dying from your venom of hate," I snorted at her words and rubbed the area where I had pinched earlier before and apologised.
" I'm sorry for pinching your arm, you were so cute that I couldn't help but pinch, you should start dieting because sooner or later some men will want to eat you down to the bone ," I told her with a smirk on my face. She opened her mouth and was about to reply me with a witty remark but ended up stuttering nonsense in a nervous manner while I laughed at her reaction, afterwards I hugged her and told her I was only playing around with her, she pouted and said it was about time we went to the fields and harvest the fruits.
We arrived at the fields and began harvesting, It was hard labour because the field was wide and huge but I loved doing this work, it allowed me to smell the fresh air and to see the evergreen leaves. Yesterday was raining so there were still raindrops on the leaves, the raindrop dripped down when I touched the edge of a leaf. I smiled when I saw a caterpillar crawling up the stems to the leaves of the plant, the caterpillar was trying to reach the top but my curiousity made it fall to the ground, pitiful.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew over me and it made me look into a direction of a tree, the tree looked strong and firm but the leaves had gotten yellow. I walked towards the tree and touched the bark on the sides, I stared up to the leaves and they were falling down one by one. The tree is dying.
" The tree is dying because it's been here for a long time and it's been affected by the poison in the ground," a man's voice was heard from behind. I looked around and saw that man, cobalt blue eyes and silver white hair, he was wearing a blue noble suit, he was there in front of me. I froze not knowing what to do because this man was the man who visited me in my dreams, why is he here?
I built up my courage and said," How do you know that? I've never seen you around here before, are you from town because we villagers are restricted to have any contact with the townspeople for uh...our own safety." He chuckled and walked towards me while holding out his hand and placing it on his stomach.
" My apologies, my name is Ashton Baggins the son of Phillip Baggins, the town mayor. I came here to see the countryside of the town my father is currently taking care of and I am also keen on keeping this village a village. After all, we do get our stocks here, who might you be?"
I looked at him with a stern face," I don't tell strangers my name because you never know that some strangers might be spluttering nonsense, even if you are the mayor's son, I still wouldn't tell you my name because I don't know you". He looked down to the ground and I thought he was disappointed by me so I raised up my chin proudly but he looked up to me and smiled. I was surprised by his action and asked him why he was smiling for no reason, he replied," You may not know me but I know you, I've seen you in my dreams."
The morning breeze blew my hair that was once braided into thousands strands of hair flowing from the gust of the wind, I stare at him blankly and asked again," what?".
" Like I said, I know you from my dreams, I've been seeing a girl with raven black hair, enchanting violet eyes. You're the girl," he replied while walking a step closer towards me. I took a step back not because I was afraid of him but because it was too hard to believe that the mysterious man I've been seeing in my dreams is actually standing in front of me, he looked at me intently trying to read my face as if he knew I dreamt of him too.
I turned around and said," I've never seen you before so don't act like you know me, you're just a stranger and nothing more so please don't talk to me." I ran away as fast as I could because this is too much for me to take in, there's no way he could have known me, it was just a dream!
I ran past the trees and hoping to find a hiding place from him because he was chasing me while shouting his lungs out," wait! Don't run away! I didn't mean to scare you, it was just a line I use to flirt with girls, I mean I didn't know you took that line too seriously." He was reaching out his hand and trying to hold my shoulders but I fell into a deep pit that I didn't even realise I was running to, I fell in deep as hard as gravitiy could pull me down on earth, I met the surface of the ground with a loud thud. That definitely hurt.
I was expecting a pit full of snakes, insects and other disgusting creatures lurking in here but instead, it was somewhat decent and much like a tunnel leading to somewhere. I wanted to discover whatever lies on the other side of the tunnel but I heard a loud voice calling for me and I looked up, saw Ashton there looking down at me. " Hey! Are you okay down there?! That fall must have been painful because this pit looks deep. You're bleeding! Your arm is bleeding! let me help you out."
I wanted to find out more about this pit but Ashton had found some ropes at a nearby tree, there was a swing there. He lowered down the rope and tied the other end to the trunk of that tree, I grabbed onto the rope and thankfully I was strong enough to pull myself up but somehow a voice was heard when I was climbing out of the pit, " come back soon dearest Erisia~."
The voice startled me and I was about to fall back down but Ashton grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out of the pit, he looked worried seeing that my arm was bleeding and it was hurting awfully since I fell on a broken branch. The cut was deep and it seemed like it peeled off some the skin, I wasn't fully bothered because I could handle all the pain on my arm, Ashton tried to stop the bleeding by using his jacket and tied it around my arm.
" We should treat this wound quickly because you're bleeding heavily, you're not even crying and you don't even look like you're in pain!"
I looked at him and said," this pain is nothing compared to the pain I've lived with my whole life, I've never shed a tear because I didn't have a reason to, not even now. I must go now and treat this wound, you should go because the son of the mayor shouldn't be seen with a girl especially me."
I turned around and he tried to carry me but I pushed him away, he tried to take my hand but I moved my hand out of his reach, he asked me," what's your name? Please, at least tell me that and I'll go away."
I turned around and said," Erisia Rysmeth, now that you know my name you should know by now that I'm the treacherous witch your townspeople have claimed me to be, leave now or they'll blame me for bewitching you," and just like that I ran swiftly, yes I'm a witch that bears no name, I don't even know who I really am.
