The sound of creaking alerted me, I opened my eyes and saw Ashton walking around the kitchen, I competely forgot that Ashton slept here. I rubbed my eyes and yawned like a kitten, it was nice to sleep in my home again beside the fireplace. I tidied up the place where we had slept together, I think he held my hands last night, I can't quite remember.

I walked towards the kitchen and observed Ashton, " What are you doing?"

Ashton turned around and I could see that he was cooking breakfast, the breakfast consisted of eggs, salads and bread, the crunchy type of bread. I could hear my stomach grumbling from the sight of the food, Ashton served them onto the table and made some tea. I sat down and took a sip of the tea he made, " I didn't know you could cook, assuming that your dishes are always served for you," I said looking at him with a mocking expression.

He smiled and took his sip of tea," Well, I preferred cooking my own meal because I have a picky sense of taste and I do enjoy cooking." I laughed and ate breakfast, I was surprised that he was such a good cook, he must have been travelling to various places and cooked for himself.

I heard a knocking on the door, who could it be? I walked towards the door and Ashton looked tense, he was afraid it would be his mother asking him to come back. I opened the door slowly and looked at the guest, it was Martha!

" Martha! It's been so long, how has it been?" I asked and hugged her tightly. She laughed and walked inside with a basket on her hand.

" Oh Erisia I'm deeply sorry for leaving just like that. Anyways, I brought you some bread! I just thought we could eat some before-", and she stared across the room staring at Ashton, she stared at me with a smirk on her face.

" Well well well, who might this be?" She asked with a smirk wide enough to make me feel irritated, I put up my pokerface and sat down with Ashton. Martha sat down next to me and waited for an answer. She put the basket on the table and laid out the bread wonderfully.

I looked at Ashton and said," Well, Ashton and I have been uhh-" , and before I could say anything, Ashton intervened and said," I have been courting her and right now I'm waiting for her answer."

Martha looked shocked and I glared at Ashton for saying that, " No that is not what I was about to say! what I meant was that Ashton and I are doing some mystery solving, we're both getting ready for our journey."

Martha looked at me and said," What's this mystery that you're trying to solve, can I join?"

Ah I forgot, Martha doesn't know about the other world, should I take her with me? Three is better than two and maybe her other half is at the other world. I ate my breakfast and said," Well, won't your mother be worried? We'll be there for more than a day and I really think it is a place that you certainly wouldn't like ."

Martha stood up and said," Well, you haven't seen my true potential! I am the bravest in my family and possibly the most independent child, funny."

I looked at Ashton, he nodded and said," Are you really sure that you want to come with us, I must warn you, it's not something you see everyday."

Martha sat down and took a sip of the tea I poured for her, she smirked and said," Oh, are you worried I might get in the way of your love life?"

Ashton laughed while I glared at Martha," I told you there is nothing going on between us!"

She replied," Of course there isn't. There's nothing between you two, I believe you." I know she doesn't but I didn't want to deny more because that would make it obvious of my feelings towards him. I looked at Ashton and I could see his cobalt blue eyes, his eyes were so bright with joy. I wonder if he'll be upset if I told him about his brother.
