I prepared myself with my Blue gown, it was beautiful! I really love it. Ashton was at the door, knocking softly and told me to hurry up, I wonder if he thinks I look ravishing because if he did that would make me happy..wait, what am I saying, I'm spluttering nonsense now.I opened the door and Ashton looked very smart with his black Victorian clothing, it was charismatic, he too was in awe looking at my Blue ball gown. He handed out his hand and told me to hold onto as he was leading me to the carriage that would take us to town, the driver of the carriage stared at me in awe as well, I wonder if my gown was too eye catching.
Nevertheless, we carried on and riding this carriage gave me nausea because it's my first time riding it, Ashton could see my face and he comforted by saying that the trip won't be long. We reached our destination and it was the town hall, the front entrance was decorated with an arch covered with flowers, it was beautiful.
" Ashton, whose return was it that you were celebrating?" I asked Ashton while looking at my surroundings. He looked at me and said," it's my sister, she just returned from Italy. She went there to study and managed to reach her dreams, now she has returned to stay here as a doctor."
I nodded and we continued to walk towards the massive door, it was then opened by a man and welcomed us in. I became nervous because I was afraid that some of the people here might recognise me but Ashton held my hand so I felt a bit relieved by him on my side.
Suddenly a girl wearing a raven black ball gown, as dark as my hair came to us, she had silver white hair too and cobalt blue eyes, this must be his sister. She stopped and looked at me from head to toe and smiled," Is she the girl that you've mentioned to me earlier? She is very beautiful and her eyes are magnificent, those violet eyes are the rarest I've seen, you don't see violet eyes everyday but yours are exceptional."
I smiled and said," Thank you and your silver white hair is rare to see as well, I can't help but ask , are you a twin sister to Mr Baggins here because you two look identical." She chuckled and looked at Ashton with a smirk.
" I believe you are right Miss Rysmeth was it? What an unusual surname. Yes, we are twins but Ashton here wanted to surprise you, I highly doubt that the surprise will give you a shock I suppose. Allow me to introduce myself, My name is Crimson Baggins, I know my name is quite unusual as well."
I lifted my skirt and bowed politely and so did she, she asked me to come with her for a moment to have a drink of wine and Ashton went to meet his father. I was anxious because she might ask me where I'm from and what am I going to tell her.
She invited me to a sitting area with delicious desserts brimming the table, a waiter served us the oldest wine and she asked," I do hope you are fine with this because I don't prefer wine that's not old enough to give itself that rich flavour. This is very old, my grandfather kept them so that we could have the best wine to drink, isn't that delightful."
I smiled and took a sip, she was right about the wine, it was splendid. She placed her wine on the table and picked up some desserts for her to eat, she even gave me a plate to eat, " So, I heard from Ashton that you're from a noble family, I'm not quite sure if I have ever heard of a noble family with the surname of Rysmeth but from the looks of your gown, you must be wealthy."
I took a cheesecake and placed it on my plate," Yes, I am quite wealthy I suppose, but I don't think I've heard about you being a twin sister to Mr Baggins, I'd like to know more of you and him."
She chuckled and said," No need to be so formal, just call him Ashton and call me Crimson, I'm quite sure you're the first girl he's ever brought to meet with his family. What's your first name?"
