We went out to the forest and searched for the pit, we were fully equipped but our fear was never shrouded by our confidence. We were afraid that something horrible would happen to us despite the similarities our world had.iThe nature always had its flaws but somehow our world had it perfect, the leaves were evergreen, the smell of the fresh air and the soft ground, it was all too perfect. Perhaps this is why my tears are important to nurture the living nature in my world, Lucia's world did not.
We found the pit and climbed down, Ashton did confess his love for me, but we were still mere strangers, I still don't know much about him or his true nature. I may have known parts of him but it is safe to say that by going into the other world, I might be able to see how he really is.
We went through the tunnel, our hearts racing, fear was seen clearly in Ashton's face and his hand clenched my hand. I could feel his heartbeat beating faster as we crept closer to the other end, the sight of their world before still gives us a chill to the bone, their tar like environment.
We made it to the otherside and climbed up from the pit, it was still the same. Their tar like ground, the black rotten blood covering the ground along with the rotting smell of corpses. I couldn't see the green of the leaves because there were no leaves, there were only dead trees. The smell of rotting corpses made our nose sting, it was horrible and it didn't make our journey any easier.
We searched for any signs of life like before, somehow there weren't. We walked around, searching and searching until we came across a town, it was more like a village. We could see the poor standards of their living, they looked like beggars and their houses looked haunted, some were abandoned and some were completely demolished. They were all suffering badly from the plague, they must be blaming Lucia for all of these.
I could feel my heart ache, I couldn't bear it in, it was as if I was Lucia witnessing all these. Then, my hands were cold, not from the air but from the raindrops falling from above. The rain poured down the villages as if it was the first time the rain had fallen down, the people looked up to the sky with awe and some were happy. I couldn't help but feel more sad to see the miserable life these villagers had to go through, I saw a man coming towards me suddenly with an angered face," Witch! You cursed our land and now you dare to come back! You made us suffer and now you are here to see us live in misery! Leave!"
I was surprised because I didn't understand why I was called a witch, he came forth and tried to slap me, but Ashton was fast enough to stop him, he stagger backwards and looked shocked. " Master Ivan, I did not know you were here, you are supposed to be dead and yet you are here. Your father would be delighted to see you, but why did you bring this witch here!"
" She is not a witch! She is the legendary nymph here! She has brought back the rain to this land," Ashton replied. I looked over to him and stared at his cobalt blue eyes, his eyes were cold. The man looked shocked but he didn't protest and followed Ashton, he was known as Ivan here and I am known as Lucia. It felt weird at first but I could feel that I belonged here, for once.
The villagers came forward and some were too afraid to look me in the eyes, a little girl ran towards me with her mother chasing over her, she stood in front of me and stared at my eyes with her blue eyes. Her mother insisted her to go back into the crowd but she didn't move an inch.
Suddenly she grabbed my hand, she held it tight and her eyes were still staring at my eyes, her mouth moved and she spoke," Are you an angel? Did you bring back the rain?"
I could feel my heart melt by her sweet voice, it made me smile and I knelt down to her level, I looked her right in the eyes and said," Yes I am little girl, I came here to bring back the rain and save your world."
