The whole incident with Goyle was soo embarrassing. Really embarrassing. Like a down- in- the- deep, if-anyone-saw-I-would-die kind of embarrassing. George, of all people, had to be the one to rescue me heroically from the situation. AND he wouldn’t stop going on about it.
‘Have you finished the new nougat yet?’ George’s voice interrupted my thoughts.
‘Nearly. But I should probably be going now. My match with the Chudley Cannons is in about two hours.’
‘Oh....want me to take over the design, then?’ George elbowed me out of the way so he could take up the design work for the new Nosebleeding Nougat.
I had a sudden brainwave. ‘George....’ I said slowly, ‘why don’t you come to the match? Lee and Angelina are going to be there as well.’
‘Lee and Angelina?’ George looked doubtful. Maybe that wasn’t the best thing to say.
‘Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Draco will be there too. Maybe even Ron.’
‘Does that mean that Hermione and Draco are officially a couple?’ George asked with evident interest.
‘Uh-huh. I feel sorry for Ron though. Poor guy. I mean like, I’ve always thought that he had an absolute crush on Hermione, but obviously it didn’t work out that well. Plus Hermione chose Draco of all people over him. Though I have to admit Draco and Hermione are probably the best couple in the world. The Gryffindor Princess and the Slytherin Prince.....’ I trailed off, finally noticing that George had disappeared.
‘Fine, don’t come then.’ I said loudly.
‘Who said I wasn’t coming? I was just getting ready.’ George appeared from behind the storeroom with a bottle green outfit on, together with a pair of dragon- skinned mauve shoes.
‘Huh. Impressive.’ I muttered sarcastically.
‘I know, right? It’s pretty much the best outfit I’ve ordered so far.’ George said, turning around so he could check himself out in the mirror.
‘Right. I’ve had enough. If you’re done with your outfit, can we go?’ I muttered.
‘Uh-huh....’ George said, backing away slowly from the mirror, while trying to flatten his hair in the process.
Do referees let players onto the field if their late?
I hope I wouldn’t be the first to find out.
