Barry, where are we going?" Caitlin asked him as he kept leading her into a vast open space. Barry smiled. "You will see.." He didn't want to have to do this. He thought he could figure out a way to help her himself. He thought he would be able to be enough. But now knew he wouldn't. He had to go this route. And in a way he hated it. Though he knew that Caitlin had chosen him, he knew that in some way she still loved and missed Ronnie.
Caitlin looked up a bit shocked to see who Barry had in mind for her training, once they arrived to the destination. She saw Ronnie standing in the meadow next to professor Stein. "No. Absolutely not. This isn't a good idea.." She muttered. Barry gently took her hand and turned to look at her. "You won't let me help you. But at least let them.." Caitlin glances from professor Stein and Ronnie to Barry. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" She asks looking at him nervously. Barry wraps his arms around her and places a kiss on her forehead. "I'm very sure. Plus I will be here as well.. I promise, I won't let you lose control and hurt any of us." "Who's at home watching Beth and Emily?" Barry smiled. "Beth is fifteen. She's more than capable of watching Emily remember?" Caitlin nodded and took a deep breath to try and calm down. "Alright.." She follows Barry over to Stein and Ronnie.
Ronnie smiles at Caitlin and Barry as they approach. "Hello Caitlin.." Caitlin suddenly seemed to be distracted with herself and gave Ronnie a glare. "Don't call me Caitlin!" She hissed at him. As she extended her hand to send a blast of snow towards him, Stein, seeing exactly what she was about to do, motioned for Ronnie to emerge with him and immediately they were able to send flames to melt the snow.
"Caitlin.." Barry goes over to her but she stops him. "No. Don't come too close.." Barry ignores Caitlin's request and approaches closer to her wrapping his arms around her. "You're going to be just fine I promise.." She leaned in slightly resting her head on his shoulder wrapping her arms around him in return. "Keep focusing on the idea of not wanting to hurt us. I also find the power trigger for you seems to be anger. For this exercise we will focus on keeping calm cool and collected as best you can." Professor Stein told her after he and Ronnie had separated. Caitlin smirked at his words. "I am already cool enough professor Stein.." She said in an eery voice.
"Boys. Might I work with miss Snow alone?" Professor Stein said glancing at Ronnie and Barry. Caitlin bit her lip seeming hesitant to be alone with anybody. "But what if I get out of control.." Stein gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "You won't. I trust you.." Caitlin nodded and watched as Barry and Ronnie walked off so Caitlin couldn't see them, but stayed near enough should Stein need help.
"You really think this is going to work?" Ronnie asked looking over at Barry as they watched Caitlin and Stein nervously. Barry sighed. "I don't know. But it's my last option. I was hoping her memories for us would be strong enough to want to keep in control but..." "They are Barry. You don't have to worry about that. Take it from someone who has experience. She does really love you. And she is determined. I can see that she doesn't want to hurt you or her daughters. And when Caitlin is determined, she will work hard to make whatever she wants to happen, happen.. It takes some time. She's simply trying to adjust to the fact she actually is a meta-human. And I'm sure seeing her doppleganger, didn't help..It took a lot of time for professor Stein and I to get our powers under control. But we got through it, and so will Caitlin. With your help." Barry sighed. "But I've been trying to help her... I'm not strong enough.." Ronnie placed a hand on his shoulder. "Yes you are. You'll find a way to reach through to her.
"The training seemed to be going well. With professor Stein." Barry said looking at her once the training had finished and professor Stein and Ronnie had left. Caitlin sighed. "No it's not Barry. I've almost killed him a few times.." Barry wrapped his arms around her. "But you managed to come back. And you will keep coming back." Caitlin leaned in to his hug. "The voices. They keep getting stronger. I don't know how much I can focus anymore."
"I have an idea. Why don't we go on vacation for a week?" Caitlin looked up at him. "I don't think that will help. And who would watch the kids?" Barry smiled. "Like I said, Beth is more than capable of watching Emily, and if they need help, they have Joe, Iris, and Eddie here to help them. Caitlin sighed then nodded. "I guess we can try it." Barry smiled then leaned in to give Caitlin a kiss. "Now come on. Let's get back home.."
