Chapter 7: Under Control

"But mommy, that would be cheating!"  Emily pouted.  Caitlin and Beth laughed a little.  The three of them were at the table playing Uno, Barry had to make a quick rush to the lab.  "Alright alright."  Caitlin winked.  "I'll play fair."  Emily grinned a little then looked over at Beth.  "Your turn." 

As Caitlin was clearing the table after the game of cards, she glances over as she hears the door opening to see Barry returning.  "How did it go?"  She asks.  She narrows her eyes as she could sense Barry was troubled.  "Something was taken from the lab.  And I am certain Zoom has it."  Caitlin shakes her head.  "What would Zoom want from the lab?"  Barry takes a deep breath.  "Harry..  And I think I know why.."  He holds up a piece of paper with a formula on it.  Caitlin walks over to look at the paper and furrows her eyes.  "Barry.."  He nods.  "I know..."  He says knowing exactly what she was about to say.

"I'm coming with."  Caitlin says handing the paper over to him as he makes his way back out of the door.  "No.  I need you to stay here this time Caitlin.  I need you to keep an eye on the girls.  And I need you to stay safe.."  Caitlin sighed.  "Barry.  I might be able to help stop him..."  But Barry held his hand up to stop her.  "It's not an option Caitlin.."  Caitlin watches as Barry exits the house again.

"Mom?  What's going on?"  She turns to see Beth coming from the kitchen.  "Zoom is planning something beyond...  What I thought he wanted to be capable of.."  She said quietly so not to worry Emily in case she was around the corner nearby listening.  "What do you mean?"  Beth asked looking at her mother worried.  "Zoom has Harry.  He knows Harry has created the formula to make the accelerator explosion from our earth happen.  And he wants history to repeat itself.  That's why he had a hold of Well's daughter.  He was using her till Harry gave in to the decision.."  Caitlin said slowly figuring everything out.

Beth stayed quiet a few minutes letting everything sink in.  "He thinks with the explosion, he can gain more speed..."  Caitlin nodded.  "And not only that.  He wants to create an army.  More armies of meta-humans..."  Beth shook her head.  "That's insane."  "He's an insane person.."  Caitlin muttered.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?  What if something happens over here while you're on earth two?"  Cisco asks as he watches Barry start to open the breech.  Barry glances over at Cisco.  "Caitlin will be able to help.  And professor Stein and Ronnie aren't too far off should something come up.  As of now.  You won't have to worry about Zoom, I have a feeling he'll be staying on earth two for awhile."  Cisco nodded.  "Be careful Barry.."  Barry smiled.  "I always am."

"Zoom!"  Barry growled as he made his way to the other earth and made his way to Star labs where it all began.  Zoom smirked underneath his mask and turned around to face Barry.  "So.  You finally figured out what I was up to..." 

After Caitlin had finished placing Emily down for a nap, she made her way back downstairs to see Beth standing looking out the window.  She seemed to be deep in thought.  "Beth?"  She asks.  "Yea?"  Beth glances over at her mother.  "Everything okay?"  Beth nodded.  "Just worried."  Caitlin was about to speak when she heard the sound of her phone ringing.  She looked down to see Cisco's number and answered it quickly.  "Cisco?"  Beth looked at her mother closely.  "I'll be right there.."  She gently placed her hand on her daughter's arm.  "Watch Emily.."  Beth nodded and watched nervously as Caitlin exited out of the door to make her way to Star labs.

"Mommy!"  The sudden cries from Emily jolted Beth back.  She quickly rushed up to her's and Emily's room and made her way over to her sister.  "Hey.  She's okay.."  Beth said putting her arm around her sister.  Emily wrapped her arms around Beth.  'i..  She..."  Beth hugged her sister tight.  "It was just a dream..."  "Where is she now?"  Emily glances up at Beth.  "She had to go check something out at work.  But she'll be back really soon okay?"
