Journey to the Past

Conner is ready to make a "Journey to the Past" in this stunning song from Anastasia.  I know its not Disney, but I couldn't write this whole plot without using at least one of it's songs.  I do not own anything.

Katie spun and twirled throughout the forest with her new animal friends, singing to them. "Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!" The animals twittered, purred and yapped in the same key. Conner and Chris walked a few feet behind it all, staring in confusion and disbelief. Chris nodded slightly. "I think its called the Snow White Effect."

He put his hand on Conner's shoulder. "Don't worry, bro. Twilight'll be able to restore your memories for you. We've just gotta be patient." He ran faster to catch up with Katie. Conner looked behind him, out at the beautiful view out off the hill. He wished he could remember these people, who he was...who he had dreamed about. He had to find out these things.

Heart, don't fail me now.
Courage, don't desert me.
Don't turn back, now that we're here.
People always say,
Life is full of choices.
No one ever mentions fear.
Or how the world can seem so vast
On this journey, to the past.

He turned back around to see he had been left behind. He ran up through the woods to catch up. As he ran, something tickled his memory. He saw himself running with a green boy with a tail.

Somewhere down this road,
I know someone's waiting!
Such vivid dreams just can't be wrong!
Arms will open wide,
I'll be safe and wanted,
Finally home where I belong!
Well, starting now, I'm learning fast,
On this journey, to the past!

He saw Katie dancing with her furry friends. Two rabbits cuddled their baby bunnies. A momma and pappa bluebird snuggled closer to their child. A doe gently nuzzled her fawn's head. A pair of raccoons kissed each other in bliss. Conner watched them with longing.

Home...love...family...
There was once a time I must've had them, too.
Home! Love! Family!
I will never be complete until I find you!

He climbed up a tree, feeling strong and hopeful.

One step at a time!
One hope, then another!
Who knows where this road may go!
Back to who I was!
On to find my future!
Things my heart still needs to know!

He reached the top of the tree, standing on top of the strong, sturdy branches, looking up at the radiant sun, feeling energized. When he closed his eyes, he could almost see the faces of his past. He smiled, knowing he'd find them soon.

Yes! Let this be a sign!
Let this road be mine!
Let it lead me to my past!
And bring me hoooooooooommee,
Aaaaaatt laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassstt!

He slid down the tree, right next to Chris and Katie, smiling broadly. "Let's do this!"
