Elizabeth Saber had travelled much of the globe,
And yet she returned to her mother's abode,
To see how she was after her years away,
It felt like no time had passed, not a single day,
When they were reunited in her childhood home,
She told her mum she wanted to roam,
As she always had from the day she left school,
That the world still needed her like a workman and his tool,
To save what she could while she was alive,
Her mother mentioned she was not a wife,
So Elizabeth pointed out neither was she,
'But I had you to make me whole and happy as can be',
Her mother pointed out with a smile,
So Elizabeth pondered this for a while,
Did she want a child of her own?
Someone to make her settle and build a home?
'I'm not ready yet' she told her mother,
'I would want a partner first, my own love and lover',
So with no more said she moved on,
And before long her mother saw her gone,
As she joined a charity to deliver aid,
And her passion burned bright, never to fade.
