Jared's Point of ViewAfter I told Shay to get out, I hugged Cassidy closer to me, burying my head in her neck, breathing in her wonderful scent. With all the paperworks I need to finish, it got me stressed and what I need right now is a simple hug from my mate.
Cassidy pushed me away, glaring at me in hatred, "Don't touch me."
I growled loudly, "You're my mate, I can touch whenever I want to." I grabbed her arm and pulled her back in my arms once again, "You're mine."
"Stop." Cassidy shrieked, "Jared, let me go."
I ran my nose through her neck, smelling her scent. I could never get enough of it. My lips brushed the spot I will be marking her, soon. I smiled at that though and kissed her delicate skin, making her shiver and stop pushing me away with her hands.
"Stop fighting me, mi amore." I said huskily. I pulled away from her neck, cupping her cheeks, pur foreheads resting against one another, "You know you want me." My eyes flickering from her beautiful bluew eyes to her plump lips.
"I don't want you, Jared." She said, firmly.
Hearing her say that made me fume, I pulled away from her, my fists clenching as I looked at her in frustration, "What do you want me to do, Cassidy?" I exclaimed, "I'm your fucking mate, why can't you just accept me?"
Cassidy glared at me, "Why can't
I accept you?" She repeated, laughing mockingly, "Maybe if you would stop hurting your own sister, my best friend, then maybe I won't be so hostile towards you!" Her eyes darkening in rage, "You're a monster, Jared, how could you do that to your own blood?"A loud, menacing growl went out of my mouth, "You don't know what you're talking about Cassidy. Stay out of my situation with my sister." I spat. Just saying the word sister is making me cringe.
"You keep saying I'm your mate, and yet, you won't tell me shit about Shay anyway." Cassidy yelled at me, "She's my best friend and she's too scared to tell me anything because she's scared that you would beat her again." She gritted her teeth, looking at me in so much disgust and hatred, "She's my best friend, Jared. You may be my mate, but if you keep hurting her, I won't hesitate to choose her over you." With that said, she walked out, leaving me in the dining room just in time for the other pack members to come in.
Warren looked at me, his eyebrows furrowing in concern, "Hey, what's wrong?"
I shook my head and walked out, I went upstairs watching as Cassidy stormed inside Shay's room, I growled lowly before stomping inside my office. I sighed shakily, throwing the lamp on the floor.
I sat on my chair and rubbed my face in frustration, looking at the papers scattered on my desk, I groaned and put my head on it, feeling too drained to do anything and it's only eight in the morning, I haven't even eaten yet. I shook my head and sat up properly. I need to finish this today, especially with rogues startig to trespass our teritorry, I can't risk my pack members, or better yet Cassidy, to get harmed by them.
I was about to get started with my work when an excruciating pain came on my head. I clutched my head and groaned at the pain, for some reason it made me fall off my chair, the pain was not ceasing at all, it got worse minute by minute.
