I woke up pretty early this morning to meet Justin and Oscar at Starbucks. Apparently they had a surprise for me there..? Weird.. I love working with Justin and Oscar but I'm not sure I'm into the dancing that I do there. The choreography is good and all, I'm just not feeling it anymore. Every time I learn a new dance, I learn it all in about an hour and a half because the moves are the same moves from other dances, they're so basic to me.
"Hey, Biebs! Hey, Oscar!" I say as I take a seat at the booth. Oscar smiles as Justin hands me a drink.
"I went ahead and got your usual." Justin says.
"Awe thanks! I'll pay you back later." I say. He nods.
"So what's this surprise you guys have for me?" I ask, cutting straight to the point.
"You'll have to wait and see." Justin smirks and gets up walking towards the door, leaving Starbucks. I look back at Oscar to see him smiling and following Justin's lead. I hurry after them to Justin's car.
"You guys did not just make me drive to Starbucks making me think you guys had some stupid little surprise, and when I show up you wont even tell me!" I shout, clearly frustrated that I had to wake up at 8:30 this morning to do my normal routine around the house to make it here at 9:15 to meet these two only for them to not even tell me why they called so early.
"Chill, Alexa. Just get in the car." Justin says.
"What about my car?" I ask. There was no way in hell I was about to leave my baby parked in front of a Starbucks downtown not knowing where the hell this idiot was was taking me and how long it would be until we got back.
"Hand the keys to Oscar and he'll follow us." I sigh and hand my keys to Oscar.
"If there's a single scratch or a single thing moved in my car I'm coming after you Oscar." I warn him. He laughs and nods. I get in Justin's car and we're off to who knows where.
About an hour later we pull up to a dance studio. There's only one other car parked here.
"What are we doing at a dance studio?" I ask Justin.
"Come on." He says and gets out the car, signalling me to follow him.
We walk into the studio, Oscar trailing behind Justin and I, and there's a guy setting up some stuff for a class I'm assuming.
"Yo, M!" Justin says and the guy turns around and smiles. No way..
"Justin! Oscar! Great to see you guys again!" The greets Justin and Oscar. "This must be Alexa." He says. I nod, speechless. "Well, nice to meet you, Alexa. I'm Ma--"
"Matt Steffanina.." I finish his sentence. He smiles.
"I see you know who I am." I smiled and nod.
"I watch your videos you post on the choreography you do. You're the reason I fell in love with dancing and wanted to try it."
"Well, I'm honored." I smile and let out a short laugh.
"So this is why you guys brought me here? To meet Matt Steffanina?" I ask, looking at Justin and Oscar.
"Yes and no." Justin says.
"Alexa, it's pretty obvious you're not into the choreography at my studio anymore. You learn things so quickly it's almost like they're basic moves and they're really not. So I'm giving you a challenge, only if you accept my next offer. Come work with Matt." Oscar says. My mouth drops and I'm left speechless. I look back and forth between the three of them.
"Are you serious?" I ask, still not believing what was happening. They all nod.
"Justin here has sent me a few videos of you dancing over there with Oscar and I think you're amazing and very talented. I would love to work with you and your dancing skills. I also have to agree with Oscar and say you need a challenge with dancing. And by a 'challenge with dancing', I mean you should challenge yourself by trying some different types of dancing. Are you down for that?" Matt asks.
"Yes! Absolutely!"
"Alright, well I have a class in about an hour, would you like to stay and learn the choreography I plan on teaching them? You can also stay for the class and be in the video. You can be my dancing partner if you have the moves down." He says. Lord, this is all coming at me too strong.
"I would love to! Can Justin and Oscar stay and watch?"
"Of course! Those two are always welcome here! And if you ever want to invite some friends to come watch rehearsals or whatever, I don't mind."
"Great! Thanks!" Matt smiles and starts to teach me the choreography.

"Bye, Matt! Thanks for the amazing time!" I shout as I begin walking out of the studio with Justin and Oscar.
"No problem, Alexa! I'll let you know when the video is up and when I've got something in mind for next time!" He shouts back.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for today! You two are the best!" I say, jumping on Oscar's back and kissing Justin's cheek. They chuckle and smile.
Man, life's going good.
But how long will it be that way, Alexa? I really like this book, don't know why, but I love writing it!! I rushed through this so sorry if there's any mistakes on spelling or whatever.. I'll be updating more in about a week!! I promise! :)
