Josh's POV
"You mind if I ask what happened between you and Diggie?" I asked as Maddie and I were walking to my house. She frowned a bit. "Long story."
"I have time."
Maddie chuckled. "Cute" She then returned to a frown. "But I'd rather not talk about it. It's a little too recent don't you think?"
"Very true." I smirked. "Sorry."
"It's chill."

When Maddie walked into my house, she looked around.
"Like what you see?"
"I never knew you were into art..." Maddie said.
"Not me, my parents." I replied.
"Oh"
"My apartment is downstairs." I said gesturing towards to stairs.
Maddie began to walk down the stairs. "You have your own apartment?"
"Yah."
"Why?" She asked.
"Well.." I paused and sat down on my couch. "I wanted to move out to get a sense of independence, but my parents thought I was too young. So this was our compromise."
Maddie laughed then sat next to me on the couch.
"So what do you want on the pizza?" I asked. "I'll pay."
"Just plain cheese sounds good."
"Alright." I smiled then began to dial the pizza place.
Maddie smiled back. She is a really strong girl. I would be puddle of tears if I were to be in her shoes. I wouldn't have been able to hold myself together so well, especially under these circumstances.
