Maddie's POV
Liv squealed. "You kissed Josh?!""In my defence, he kissed me first!" I paused and bit my lip. "And I may have kissed him back."
Liv squealed again, except this time louder.
"I really like Josh...." I blushed. "They only problem is, when I see Josh I see Diggie."
Liv sighed. "Maddie." Liv walked over and sat next to me on my bed. "Don't worry about the last or fret over the future. Live in the now. Because if you constantly are worrying, you'll never see the beautiful gifts that the present gives you."
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.
Liv leaned on my shoulder. "I would tell you, but that's for you to figure out." I frowned. Liv gave me a hug then got up from my bed and started to walk out of the room.
"Where are you going?"
"To enjoy the present with Holden."

About a half hour after Liv left, I kept practicing shooting hoops on my mini net. Basketball helps my thought process.
Diggie is my past... Soon to be future. Josh or Diggie could potentially be my future. The present is currently Josh.
But what about Diggie? No wait, Diggie is my past. But could he be my present. Shot! Now I'm worrying about my future.
That's it! I give up for tonight! My brain can't take it anymore.
I threw my basketball into my laundry hamper, turned off my light, and went to bed.
