The Apple To My Pie

Summary: Tobin and Alex have been together for 2 years and just won the 2015 World Cup. Tobin decides to do something bold in a party while her's and Alex's song is playing.

"Hey babe." Tobin said as she walked in to her shared apartment with her girlfriend of 2 years.

"Hey Toby." Alex said and pecked Tobin's lips.

"Do you want to go to the party at the club down the street?" Tobin asked, referring to the party that the bubbly Irish defender told her about a few days ago.

"Yeah sure."

Tobin and Alex just won the Women's World Cup a few weeks ago and had a little time off before the victory tour.

"I made pie." The forward said.

"Apple Pie?" Tobin asked with a grin.

"Apple Pie." Alex chuckled at her girlfriend's love of the dessert.

"Alex?" The midfielder asked.

"Yeah?"

"Can I?"

"Sure." Alex smiled.

Tobin eagerly pulled her phone out of her back pocket and tapped the YouTube app. A few moments later, the song 'Perfect Two' by Auburn was heard through the phone speakers and both girls beamed and sang along.

"Cause you're the apple to my pie,
You're the straw to my berry.
You're the smoke to my high,
And you're the one I wanna marry..." Tobin and Alex sang to each other.

They quickly finished eating and cleaned their plates.

"I'm gonna go shower for the party. You should get ready too." Tobin said.

"Ok. I need to shower too so let's save water." Alex smirked and the two went to get ready for the party.

They arrived at the party and met up with all of their teammates and friends.

Kelley pulled Alex aside for a quick chat and Ashlyn took the opportunity to talk to Tobin about what she's going to do tonight.

"Are you ready?" Ashlyn asked excitedly.

"Yeah, I think so... What if something goes wrong?" Tobin asked nervously.

"Nothing is gonna go wrong, ok? You got this!" The goal keeper said encouragingly.

"Thanks Ash." Tobin smiled and went over to the DJ to request a certain special song.

"Hey, can I request a song??" Tobin yelled over the music.

"Sure, what song?" The young man replied.

"'Perfect Two' by Auburn." Tobin said and smiled at the thought of her's and Alex's song.

After a few minutes the song started and Alex squealed.

"Toby come dance with me!" Alex said while pulling Tobin to the dance floor.

The two danced and sang the lyrics happily and as the song reached the final verse, Tobin got ready.

You're the apple to my pie,
You're the straw to my berry.
You're the smoke to my high,
And you're the one I wanna marry.

Tobin got down on one knee.

"So will you Alex Morgan, marry me?" She said as she pulled out a diamond ring, letting the final few words of the song be heard in the background.

The room was filled with gasps and a few squeals (Kelley) as Alex nodded her head vigorously and pulled Tobin up to give her the most passionate and loving kiss she could give right now with the adrenaline and excitement in her.

Tobin slid the ring onto Alex's finger and kissed her as the club erupted in claps and cheers.

"I love you." Alex said, still a little shocked.

"I love you too baby." Tobin said and hugged her fiancé.

6 months later

"I now pronounce you, wife and wife. The brides may kiss." The preacher said and smiled as Tobin and Alex kissed lovingly.

Tobin and Alex got married in Hawaii since both of them wanted someplace worm yet not crowded.

They danced with their family and friends, enjoying the best night of their lives.

"Tobin Heath - Morgan. Never thought I'd live to see the day when you get married." Ashlyn said with a smirk.

"And here we are." Tobin matched her smirk and stared at her beautiful bride who was now dancing with Kelley and Pinoe.

"Congratulations man. I'm really happy for you." The goalie said with a warm smile.

"Thanks. Now when are you gonna pop the question?" Tobin questioned.

"Actually," Ashlyn said as she reached to her phone and opened the photo gallery. "I already bought the ring. Planning on doing it on our 3 year anniversary in a few weeks." Ashlyn grinned.

"Oh my god! Good for you dude!" Tobin said.

"Thanks."

"Hey baby." Alex said as she came up to Tobin and rested her hand on the middy's shoulder.

"Hi." Tobin greeted her with a kiss and when they pulled back Ashlyn was already gone.

"I love you." Alex said.

"I love you too. You're the apple to my pie." Tobin grinned.

"The straw to my berry." Alex grinned as well and kissed Tobin again.
