Chapter 2

Levi has no fragrance.

Or is there something wrong with your sense of smell?

Did Hanji's experiment causes your ability to smell people's aromatic fragrance to disappear?

You panicked. Levi stood with a frown on his face, obviously not happy with your sudden act of sniffing on him. He stared at you in annoyance while you were slightly surprised, panicking and staring at him in worries.

"Get your filthy sniffing nose away from me, brat," he growled.

"B-But... You're...I c-can't... This..." You stammered and muttered, "I need to find Mike-san..."

"He's busy. Did something happen with that wires in your brain?" He huffed. While removing his grip from your arm, he was about to leave you. "That shitty glass better not be the cause of it..."

You sat there frozen. Did Hanji's experiment really did something to you? As he left, the door clicked open and close. You glanced down the cold tiles and started to wonder around in your own thoughts.

"I swear, if anything happens to her, I'll kill you!" Eren shrieks as Armin was trying to hold him from beating up the spectacled woman.

"Heheh, E-Eren. Hold on. I d-didn't mean to-" Hanji tried raised her hands in defeat.

Before she finishes her sentences, Erwin rested his hand on her shoulder. "Hanji, you know what to do."

The female sighed and nods sadly, "I know... I'm sorry Erwin." She turned and left, probably being punished. She knew what her punishment is since this isn't her first time making such mistakes; clean up the entire lab and finish all paperwork within 24 hours.

Erwin turned towards the three of them and apologized. "I promise that this won't happen again in the future."

Eren growled and faced away from the blond. Mike was leaning against the wall behind them. Just as they were about to leave, Levi was already there with his serious expression.

"Levi," Erwin called. "How is she doing?"

"Still alive and sniffing..." he answered with no interest. "Mike, you should train her not to sniff people around without permissions." He turned to your sensei as if asking a master to train their dogs on how to behave.

Mike blinked. What did he mean? Did you try to sniff him? He thought of what happened between you and Levi. Nodding lightly, he pushes himself away from the wall and makes his way to the nurse's office.

You were tying your shoes as the door clicked open. Straightening your back, you saw that Mike was standing in front of you.

"Mike-san," you muttered. He pulled the chair that was next to you and sat. "Something happened!" you shrieked. Mike doesn't seem to be surprised. He waited for you to continue talking. "That L-Levi person! He...He had no scent at all! I can't seem to smell his fragrance! Did something happen? Did that experiment has anything to do with this??"

Mike quickly shove you back to your seat as he noticed that you were getting a little bit closer to him, apart from being too panicked. He didn't say a word but only nodded, telling you to calm down.

You blinked multiple times. "EEH?! WHAT?!"

You can't smell Levi's fragrance and now Mike is telling you about what happened? Losing your sense of smelling other people's aroma is not a problem. He had told you that back in the past, there are rumors going around that in your blood generations, you might be able to scent other people's aroma and will still be able to find their 'soul mate'. In the book that was written by the previous ancestors, it has been told that the person with such abilities won't be able to smell their own partner until they are ready to accept them.
