The Dark Knight of Light

Some people unconciously shut down painful memories, one of them is Alexandra Jade. After she lost her uncle sheunconciously blocked all the people that has been part of her childhood. It is her defense mechanism in order to shield herself from feeling any pain. The pain that the person she loved and cared left her.

Martin Caldwell is a different story for her though. He wasn't shut from Lexie's memory, because in her sub conscious he was forced to leave her because he wanted her to live out of love not fear.

The fear of losing someone...

Lexie had been there, and still is stuck to that fear. She never wanted to suffer the pain and sorrow of losing someone.

"You know full well that if we try, then she could still be a nor-" Martin Caldwell was distracted by her beloved niece.

"Martin?" Little Alexandra said rubbing her eyes, clearly she had just been awakened in the middle of the night.

Martin smiled to his niece, "Yes Alex, did I woke you up?" The girl just stood there staring at his companion, who was dressed in a black pants and black shirt under his black cloak.

"Ah that's my friend, Severus Snape, and" Martin looked at Snape and shrugged, "this is my niece Alex... Alexandra Caldwell."

Then, there was silence, an awkward silence....

The girl spoke, "You are a dark knight, aren't you? With the dark lord, aren't you?"

Lexie woke up  in the hospital wing with two people looming at her side.She felt so light headed. She saw her knight and smiled weakly and tried to reach him but her arms feel heavy. "The dark knight for the light. Where have you been?" Lexie felt her eyes closed. "I've been waiting." Then, she fell asleep again with her smile still plastered in her face.

Dumbledore looked at Snape. "I can explain." Dumbledore just waved his hand.

"I don't need you to. Anyway, I'm sure that she wouldn't remember all that happened when she woke up." Of course Dumbledore knows it all along. "A friendly advise Severus, she deserves to know who you are."

"I can't do that."

"It's just an advice Severus. It's your call."

Morning came and Lexie woke up in the hospital wing with her two best friends. They spoke simultaneously. Lexie groaned, "You're giving me a headache."

"Sorry." Ken and Kristen said at the same time.

"What happened?" 

"You don't remember?" Ken asked. Kristen shook her head. "Oh, Sherlock." Ken just shrugged her sarcasm and Kristen started explaining what happened.

Oh bugger I'm so screwed. The whole class, well half the class since they are asleep, saw her half transform.

Kristen read her expression. "Don't worry Snape and Dumbledore got it all covered. I'm really surprised Snape helped."

"It's his duty as a professor." Ken said nonchalantly. 

Professor. She's getting irked at that word. "I'm tired, I'm sure the professors would give me a pass today." She needed to think. She needed to remember what she dreamed that  prompted her to act crazy and actually attacked Dumbledore and Snape. She doesn't want to hurt either of them. The two became a post in her life now that she can lean to. Though at first she really didn't want to but sh is adjusting. Maybe she really needed some help. A little help.

First, she needed to talk to Snape. 

"I have classes." Snape said coldly and shut his door in her face. Wow.

"Never mind I still have detention. I’ll get my answers. " she mumbled. “Or try doing.” She scrunched her face and walked away.

What Lexie didn't expect is Snape turning over her detention with Lupin.

"Are you okay Ms. Jade?" Lupin asked as she is staring in nowhere that her butterbeer spilled.

Sitting across the desk, Lexie recovered and nearly broke her mug. "Bugger!" She yelled as she just noticed her drink spille in her lap.

With a wave of Lupin's wand, her pants is good as new.

"Thanks." Lexie said.

"You're welcome. And please take your seat again. Lupin smiled.

"If you don't mind Sir, Lexie would do just fine."

Lupin just nods. "Now... Lexie," he smiled at her, "what is bothering you?"

She knew he has her best interest. She fidgets her shirt not used to sharing her thoughts. "There's this gap in my memories and I wamted to have them back. I asked Ms. Pomfrey but she can't seem to do anything either and I don't know who..." She looked at him and suddenly has an idea.
