PART TWELVE
"Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations "
"I cannot believe this! You are the One!" Woro's voice was faint now as Zayla ran faster and faster. Her focus was on the ship. She had to get on the ship. They had to get away before any other Sith came. And Zayla doubted she could talk herself out of that one. It was a miracle Woro had even let go of her trust and gave it to Zayla. But of course it could be a trick...Zayla would just have to keep an eye on her.
"We were told the One would never come." Zayla spun to Woro with a concerned face fixed onto Woro.
"What do you mean?"
"They told us the One was gone. Just a myth. Some had said they had visions of you, that you would come soon..but they were killed in battle shortly after that. Their words silenced. Others said you would come to us with a powerful lightsaber, and powers that could kill any mortal you desired. But I never believed it. I thought you would be a regular Jedi, just had a prophesy wrapped around you."
Zayla nodded slowly letting the useful information sink in before she spoke , "We have to get to my ship. Then if you would I would like to hear these things your Sith companions told you."
"Yes the One." Woro bowed her head.
"Names Zayla, now lets go."
----
San Draen was sitting when Zayla entered the ship, meditating.
"San Draen. We have a visitor." She spoke quietly trying not to disrupt.
"Woro Ashukahwa, yes."
Woro's eyes widened, "How did you know my name Master?"
"All will be reviled young Woro. But you...you've never been fond of being a Sith have you?"
Woro shifted her position, unsteady.
"The boy..didn't either. You both were serving the Sith for a purpose." San Draen opened his old eyes and stared hard at Woro, "tell us..why were you being a double agent?"
Woro fiddled with her hands, "I was chosen to be a Jedi at the Jedi Councel at age 3. When I grew up I didn't want to be a regular Jedi. I had grew fond of the Ones prophesy. I went to the Councel to consult with them about it. They planned to send a boy in with me to the Sith Planet..."
Zayla watched Woro focus her attention on the boys lightsaber that was currently clipped on her belt. Zayla delicately placed her hand on it. Woro, realizing she was unfocused flicked her eyes toward San Draen and continued.
"He and I were supposed to wait and retrieve the One and take Him to the Jedi Temple-"
"Him?" Zayla interrupted a tad irritated.
"We all thought he would be male." Woro confessed. "But you never came...until now. And by then hate had filled us both. But now I can take you to the Jedi Temple!"
"The Jedi Temple is destroyed Woro." San Draen said quietly.
"What!" A sob entered Woro's throat. "How?"
"Anakin Skwalker also known as Darth Vader betrayed all Jedi and killed them all...but his son Luke."
Woro wiped a tear, "I cannot believe this.."
"Well believe it. We are some of the remaining Jedi, Woro." Zayla said hastily. She turned and went into another room. The Sith Planet was dawning on her. Almost putting a negative effect on her, and she despised it. She had to leave this damn planet...and soon.
INCOMING MESSAGE::: the words flashed onto onto the screen in front of Zayla. Licking her lips she hesitantly accepted the message.
"Zayla it's me. We need to talk."
