The next morning Conny woke up to her mom's new husband, Hank waking her saying,"Good morning darling, do you want to come down for breakfast, maybe you can tell us where Jem is, we can just go to where you were, get her and get the man who took you brought to justice." Conny was amazed that he dare call her darling, or think that she would tell him where she supposedly been took. "How dare you call me darling, and how dare you think I wouldn't be out there looking for her, if I knew where she was. You are a disgrace to my family, and you disgust me. My sister may not even be alive, you are a sloppy jerk, you are not fit to be a father!" Conny's voice started breaking,"You think it is so easy just to tell people where I've been, and where you can find my sister. I haven't seen Jem for the past 6 and a half years. They didn't put us together. I would do anything to be with her, you are a stupid, overweight, annyoing, lying, jerk, and I hope my mother divorces you!" Conny shouted is anger. "Conny Lynn Morgan, how dare you speak to your father like that, he was just trying to help!" Connys mother yelled. "He is not my father, do you understand, he never was, and he never ever will be!" Conny was so mad, she was on his side, she didn't understand. Did she even think about what Conny felt, what Conny wanted? Did they even care?
