Up next as our dear guest is the darling exchange student, Azusa Kuze. Coming from the kingdom of Hinomoto, Azusa is quite possibly the kindest and most gentlemanly student you will ever meet. However, he too seems to be hiding some secrets as his expression sometimes betrays.

I won't go into more details, because of spoilers. But he will be involved in my story's plot to quite some extent. For now, though, just enjoy this chapter lovelies~( ˘ ³˘)❤

"What?" she breathed out in utter disbelief.

Perhaps she had heard wrong or... or maybe she was asleep... yeah, that had to be it! Yet the expression on Klaus' face told her it was neither a joke nor a dream.

"Did you not hear me? We're resuming our sessions after class. Professor Schuyler has asked me to gather some herbs from the greenhouse, and you're coming along to assist me."

Next to her Elias offered the girl a wholly sympathetic glance. If that was his brother's idea of settling the issue, he wasn't doing too great a job of it – Rosetta still looked terrified at the mere suggestion of being anywhere alone with Klaus. Yet he didn't interfere, this time not out of indifference but because he knew those training sessions would ensure she passed the Judgment... and oddly enough, he wanted  her to stay at the Academy. He didn't really think it could be called love just yet, but there was something definitely there that made him enjoy her company.

"Y-yes, sir..." Rosetta finally mumbled.

Without another word the Prefect took his leave, plunging the classroom into a deep silence before the female population erupted in yet another choir of excited murmurs.

'Poor girls...'  she mused, watching as they chattered away about Klaus. 'They have no idea what sort of demon hides behind that handsome appearance.'

"Are you alright, Whitehorn?" Elias finally asked, startling her out of her thoughts.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." the girl smiled softly.

"Don't worry; I'm sure it'll be a lot better than yesterday."

He couldn't exactly be certain what mood his brother would be in, by the end of the day, but he had to say something  to reassure her. Yet beyond her grateful smile he could read that she was still afraid... no! He refused to believe Klaus would ever lose control of himself to such an extent. If there was something his brother deemed unpardonable, it was for a man to physically harm a woman outside of very specific situations, like training or an actual battle.

He had seen that firsthand, whenever they heard of some scandal where a nobleman was found to abuse his wife. While he had reacted with the kind of half-faked indignation expected of someone his age – namely someone who couldn't fully grasp the sheer gravity of such a situation – Klaus was clearly on a whole different level of understanding what such a thing implied. Perhaps because he already had experience on the combat field, and had maybe been forced to battle women before, but news like that always seemed to haunt him for quite a while afterwards.

"He'll never do anything to hurt you." Elias found himself saying, not even recalling when he had reached over to grasp her hand, causing the classroom to start gossiping about them instead. "I know him... he would never lay a finger on a woman with the intention to harm her."

"Alright..." she nodded, and this time she seemed to have genuinely calmed her fears. "Thanks for taking care of me, Elias."

The sound of the bell snapped him out of that weird sort of stupor her voice had suddenly plunged him into, and he withdrew his hand in haste.
