Camp Life

The Dream

A/n: I will try to update at least once a week, though I might update multiple times a week, enjoy.

AJ woke up screaming, ever since she was three she would get terrible nightmares. Her mom would always come in and calm her down, but her mom wasn't here now. The scream woke Nico up as well. He looked over at AJ, not really knowing what to expect. She was sitting on her bunk, hugging her knees, rocking back and forth, and crying softly. He got out of bed and walked over to her, careful not to startle her. Nico sat down on her bed and held open his arms. AJ crawled into his lap and started crying into his chest. Nico hugged her, and waited for her to calm down before he said anything. "Are you alright now?" He asked her, when she finally stopped crying. She nodded. "What was your dream about?" He asked. "W-we were in a b-battle and everywhere p-people were getting killed, and t-then you were next to m-me and you were f-fighting something." AJ broke down crying again, but Nico understood what had happened. "Should I go get Leo, or Will?" He asked her quietly. "Leo." She whispered quietly.

Seeing as it was after curfew Nico decided to shadow travel to the cabin, "I'm sure Will would understand." He thought as he left the room. Appearing in cabin nine, unannounced in the middle of the night gave quite a few campers a scare. Walking over to Leo's bunk he whispered "Leo, wake up." Leo groaned and rolled over so he was facing the wall. "Leo, wake up!" He said a bit louder. Leo woke with a start and nearly fell off the bed. "What?" He asked grumpy. "AJ needs you, she had a nightmare and she's crying." This woke Leo up very quickly. Instead of shadow travelling, the two boys ran out of the cabin and showed up in the Hades cabin slightly out of breath.

Leo went over to AJ and sat down in the bed, while Nico went back to his own bed. Leo held her while she cried, and whispered nonsense in her ear. By the time the sun rose, AJ had fallen asleep in Leo's arms, and he fell asleep holding her.

Nico tried not to laugh at the two of them when he saw them like that. It was time for breakfast, but he didn't want to wake the two of them, but knowing you'd get in trouble if he left, he woke them anyway. Which caused someone to get punched in the gut, (it was an accident) and many curse words.
