"Come on Sasha, focus on your work please" someone said to me, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up and saw my brother standing at my desk that had piles of paperwork on it. "Relax Greg, I'm thinking of the possibilities, I mean, what if her husband didn't kill her? Maybe someone just made it seem like he did" I said. "Okay that's it, I'm taking you home, you need sleep. We're the last ones here" he chuckled as he grabbed his jacket and tossed me mine. "Oh shut up you know it's a possibility" I said as I put on my jacket.
"I know it's a possibility, I'm not that stupid, but al the evidence leads us to him. That doesn't seem like a coincidence to me and they were facing some difficulties in their marriage so that'd explain a lot" he said as he locked the place up and started walking again. "I can't wrap my head around it, he couldn't have killed her. I mean look at the poor bastard, he looks like he wouldn't hurt a fly" I thought out loud. "Well until we find evidence that leads us to someone else, he is our main suspect" he said as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder. We decided to walk home instead of taking a cab to enjoy the weather. It was for once warm in London late in the evening.
"But he wouldn't be capable of it, he would've hired a hitman. Or someone else did to make him look bad" I continued. "Yes but who would be able to do that?" He asked. "Aren't you guys after this, what do you call it, consulting criminal? What was his name, Moriarty?" I suggested. "Sasha, you're a genius" he chuckled. "I have never seen the man, I wouldn't recognize him anyways" he said as I playfully hit him in the chest while we continued our walk home, talking about anything that came to our minds. As Greg was engulfed in his own story, facing the other way, a man passed by us.
Slick black hair and really dark brown eyes, looking rather angry while typing away on his phone. I eyed him up and down, as I had picked up a few deduction tricks from a friend of mine. He is unarmed, definitely has a well paying job, looking at the fact that he is wearing a Westwood suit, and he's up to no good. Suddenly he looked up from his phone and stared at me. His eyes traveling from my head down to my feet and back up again, smirking at me afterwards in the most pressuring way possible. I raised an eyebrow at him, that only giving me the result of him sending me a smile. Once we passed each other, I looked behind me once more, seeing that he was looking back at me over his shoulder. He noticed and quickly looked at his phone again, leaving me confused.
"Sasha? Sasha hello are you still with me? Are you even listening?" Greg suddenly said while waving a hand in my face. "Yeah of course I am, I have the most interesting brother in the world you know" I said jokingly while I rolled my eyes. "You are literally the worst sister I have" he said. "Thank you, may I remind you of the fact that I am your only sister?" I said sarcastically. "Yes that is why you're the worst, but also the best" he smiled at me. "Get your head out of my ass please. But you're not too bad of a sibling yourself" I chuckled as he pulled me a bit closer. "I try" he said as we approached the door.
When we got inside I immediately changed into my sweatpants and one of Greg's shirts before making us both some tea. When I walked into the living room I handed him his mug and grabbed a blanket to curl up under on the couch. "So, you doing anything tonight? I mean it's Friday evening you probably have something planned" I said. "Yeah I'm going out tonight" he said as he sipped his tea. "With whom? I'm sure Anderson and Donovan from the bureau aren't much fun to hang with and I'm staying home tonight" I said back. "You don't know her" he replied casually. "Her?" I asked smugly while wiggling my eyeborws at him. "Dating or girlfriend already? When am I going to meet her?" I asked while I walked towards him and sat down on the table, letting my legs swing back and forth.
"Her name is Emma and yes she is now my girlfriend" he chuckled. "Do you have a picture of her?" I asked curiously. "I do actually, here" he said as he turned his phone towards me. It was a picture of Greg and her. She has curly blonde hair and big bright green eyes. "She is gorgeous, what does she want with you?" I blurted out while staring at her, making him glare at me. "I don't know how you got her to fall for you, but you did a great job" I laughed as I stood up. "Well maybe I come across as a normal and fully functioning person when my crazy sister isn't around" he replied. "Ouch, my feelings that I do not have" I said with a small pout as I put my hand over my heart. "Ah come here you big baby" he said as he walked towards me and gave me a big hug. "Go have fun with your date asshole, you can't leave your lady waiting" I said as I patted his back.
