Yeeyoung was still cursing like there was no tomorrow as Sakamae and Shiori pried her off of Minju. Arah had somehow managed to escape Yeorim's clutches, and was clinging to Sooyoung, face buried into the elder's neck. During the commotion, Ha-seon had bolted, and Sun-hee was way to exhausted to go after her.
When Yeeyoung and Yeorim finally calmed down, which took a long time thanks to Minju's constant taunting, Sun-hee led the girls to a small restaurant on the other side of the street. After everyone was seated, the manager introduced herself, and motioned for the rest to do the same.
Arah was more than happy to go first, almost hitting Yeeyoung in the face with her elbow as she stood up enthusiastically. "Hello! My name is Lee Arah and I love noodles!" Her closest friend face palmed, but Shiori noticed the small smile that had appeared on the brunette's lips.
Just as Minju was about to begin, the waiter arrived to take their orders. Before Sun-hee had the time to object, one of the girls ordered a bottle of soju. Not wanting to bother calling the waiter back and canceling the alchohol, the oldest female decided to let it slide just this once.
When everybody settled down once again, the introduction ceremony continued. Minju stood up, running a hand through her hair as she did so. "The name's Kang Minju, but you can call me—" Sun-hee cut in, realizing where this was heading. "Alright Minju, anything else you want to say?"
A fake pout appeared on the girl's lips, but vanished when her expression turned mischievous. Her gaze flickered on the two Japanese girls, eyes narrowing playfully. "I just wanna say how great not being the shortest in a group for once. I think I'll leave the job to you, Fujino."
The Japanese girl rolled her eyes, saying nothing, but it was obvious she was holding herself back from attacking. Sakamae rose slowly, only sitting back down when Sun-hee held on to her sleeve. Content with the amount of discomfort she had caused, Minju lowered herself back onto her seat.
"I'm Nam Sooyoung, it's nice to be finally debuting." A snort was heard when the oldest trainee finished her sentence, and all eyes turned to Shiori. She shrugged, casually playing with her chopsticks. "I'm sure you've been a trainee for a long time and all, but there's no way you've been around as long as me."
Letting out an annoyed huff, Sooyoung turned to face the Japanese female, looking more bored than irritated. "Shiori, debating over who's trained the longest won't do anyone any good." Sun-hee let out the breath she was holding, glad the eldest was being mature about the situation.
Much to her dismay, the black haired girl didn't stop there, instead sending the younger a mocking glare. "But for the record, I'm sure I have much more experience than you." Giving up, Sun-hee rested her chin on one of her upturned hands, watching the events fold out.
Refusing to back down, Shiori mirrored the teasing expression Sooyoung was giving her. "From what I've seen so far, the only experience you have is on how to be a total bitch." Only silence followed as even Arah, who had been talking loudly with Yeeyoung, quieted down.
The atmosphere was tense, anger radiating from both of the girls. Sooyoung got up abruptly, leaning over the table so she was face to face with Shiori, somehow sneering at the Japanese girl while still looking remotely pretty. "I don't know who you think you are, but you should be treating your superiors with respect."
Shiori's eyebrow made a sudden movement, but she gave no other response. When the older girl was seated again, she whispered something to Sakamae in Japanese, and the two smirked evilly. Realizing things could get out of hand again, Sun-hee took advantage of the momentary silence. "So, since you'll all debuting soon, I think we should go over the dorm arrangements. Each room has two beds."
Arah latched onto Yeeyoung's arm the moment she heard the manager's words, sticking to the older girl like a leech. Ignoring the silent message Arah was sending her, Sun-hee took out a few post-its. "I know some of you want to stay together, but for the sake of getting used to each other we'll decide with a draw."
Each trainee wrote their names on the papers, folding them up before putting them on the table where Sun-hee shuffled them. Yeorim, who had been eerily silent throughout their time at the cafe, went first. Without hesitation, she stuck her hand out, plucking a paper off of the wooden surface. Narrowing her eyes, Yeorim read the name out loud. "Kang Minju."
Sakamae went next, accidentally picking her own name first. "Can't I just stay by myself?" Sun-hee shook her head, and the Japanese girl chose another piece of paper, showing it to the other girls. Arah made a fake sobbing noise as she saw her own name on the post-it, hugging Yeeyoung even tighter.
Ultimately, Sooyoung and Yeeyoung ended up together, instantly dubbed 2young by Minju, along with Shiori and Ha-seon. Before Sun-hee could announce their concept and such, the food arrived. An overly excited Arah, lunged for the soju, but her hand was slapped away by Sooyoung.
Sun-hee tried to warn them to not drink too much since it was still early, but it did no good. Soon enough, each girl was slightly tipsy except for Sakamae who insisted she hated strong alcohol. Most of the girls were dealing with the alcohol well, most likely used to it by now.
The manager sighed, watching the girls as they joked around together, none of their previous hostility left. "Well," she muttered to herself, bringing her own glass of soju to her lips. "No better bonding time than drinking together I suppose."
