Chapter Nine

Nicki's Pov

[ A/N : fast forward this is a couple weeks after the party]

Dad I said seeing the man I hate the most standing before me. I looked and seen August clinching his jaw and his fist balled up. I looked from my so-called "dad" and August. I think I am going to be sick I said running past my dad and upstairs to the guest bathroom. I puked up last night's dinner. I heard someone come in the bathroom.

Onika bear you ok I heard the voice of my mother say. Then I felt her move my hair and dab my face with a towel. A few minutes later I got up and walked to the sink brushing my teeth. I leaned my back against the sink and closed my eyes to help collect myself together. When I opened my eyes I seen my mom looking at me with a worried look on her face.

I am ok mom but why are you all dressed up and why is that no sorry excuse of a man who's my so-called "dad" downstairs. Look sweet heart there's a lot that you do not know but I have to get going for my business dinner with my boss. But me and August came to speak.

Oh well I won't be out late so you and August can just stay here with Jr until I get back. Well if I stay then that man has to go. Come on Onika he has no where else to go. NO WHERE ELSE TO GO!! This the same man that tried to kill you do you even remember that. B-but God..(gco). BUT GOD NOTHING.

First off I am your mother you will not disrespect me in my house no matter how mad you are. Did I get upset when you and August left me with Jr. H*LL NO!! What did I do I supported you through it no matter how much I do not agree. I had tears streaming down my face.

You right Ma and I am sorry. I just can not stay here knowing this man is here. Sweet heart she said please for me just until I get back she said placing her hand on my cheek. I closed my eyes letting the tears escape. I felt my mom use her thumb and wiped the tears away reassuring me everything is going to be fine. Ma I am tired can you tell August I will be in the guest room. Ok sweet heart. I gave her a small smile through my tears and took off my shoes laying down.

August POV

Pumpkin ran inside the house. I tried to run after her but this lame excuse of a man blocked me from getting in. Who does he think he is I thought. I pushed passed him and walked inside the house. I am here all the time. The question I should be asking you is why are you here.

You have not been here not once every time I come. You know what I do not have time for you I said getting in his face all I am going to say is Put some Respeck on Nicki's name. With that Mama carol came downstairs and seen us. Woah August she said coming in between us and rubbing me on my arm.

I looked down at her clinching my jaw. She turned around and whispered to Nicki's dad before he walked away. Hey Mama Carol what's up I said looking at her. Look I did not know you guys were coming over here I would of...(gco) this your house. You do not have to explain this to me Nicki is the one you need to explain all this too.
