Introduction
**3rd person POV**
The forest was dark yet calm as a soft, warm breeze brushed the trees, rustling the green leaves that were lit up by the gentle rays of the moonlight.
Suddenly a flash of pink and white darted past, quickly followed by a flash of black, disturbing the peaceful atmosphere, damaged and broken trees falling heavily to the ground.
The pink-haired boy panted in exhaustion as he darted through the dark forest, dodging tree after tree. He suddenly turned on his back and began to fly backwards, pulling out three arrows from his quiver and shooting them at the same time with his bladed bow.
The trees behind him fell to the ground as the dark beast grew closer and closer to the armed spirit as he desperately tried to gain some distance. He used his bow to slice through a tree with one powerful blow as he rushed past. The tree immediately began to fall and landed right on top of the black beast that chased him, causing it to screech like nails on a blackboard, such a sound that could shake the earth and make you curl into a ball as you slowly withered away.
But the warrior seemed unaffected as he had endured the pain from many of the same screeches before. He was used to such a horrendous sound, only a small wince of his eyelids showed the small amount of pain he felt as the sound echoed through the forest.
With one slash of the beasts long, deadly claws, the tree was sliced in half and pushed aside as it darted forward towards the pink-haired boy. As he darted forward he brought his wristband close to his mouth as he spoke in a nervous yell.
"Hey, guys? I could use a little help here!"
His white feathered wings fluttered as fast as they could as he sped towards the meadow, leading the monster into an open space. Just before he flew past the last few trees, a claw suddenly came crashing down behind him, knocking him forward and into the meadow with a yelp of pain.
He crashed down to the ground in the centre of the meadow, pushing himself up and resting on his elbow while he held his injured arm. When the black beast behind him crashed through the last of the trees it paused and slowly stalked towards the pink-haired warrior, it's size making him seem like an ant. Blood red eyes pierced through pink, sharp teeth pulled back into a snarl.
The pink-haired boy shuffled backwards away from the beast, holding out his bladed bow in defence while his injured arm hung limply at his side. His left upper arm was decorated with a black mark in the shape of an 'S'.
"Guys!? I could really use that help now!" He practically screamed with an urgent voice.
Suddenly, a bladed fan spun towards the black beast, cutting a long line across the beast's face causing it to screech louder than before. The boy's panicked expression softened into relief as the bladed fan spun into the hand of a woman with bright red hair, the red hair and the bladed fan being Mother Nature's trademark. The exact same mark on the boy's upper arm was printed on the inside of her left wrist.
Then suddenly, a wave of water knocked the black beast down as it darted past. On the other end of the meadow stood a male around the same age as the pink-haired boy with midnight blue eyes and jet black hair. The same 'S' mark was printed on his left bicep. The wave of water took a form of a snake and slithered up next to him, stretching up to just below the boy's hight with a hiss.
As the beast pushed itself back up onto it's paws, the two warriors joined the pink-haired boy as he stood up.
"Took you long enough." He huffed.
"Yeah, well we have priorities too, Cupid." The black-haired boy smirked.
"You just sit back and relax, hun. River and I have got this one." Nature smiled.
"Knock yourselves out." Cupid shrugged, taking a few steps back.
Mother Nature spins her bladed fans as the snake shifts into a long sword and takes it's place in River's grip. In one quick motion, the sword was thrown forward and pierced straight into the beast's head, causing it to jolt upwards and screech in pain.
Nature rushed forward and leaped up into the air, tossing both her fans at the same time which scratched straight through it's eyes, blinding it. As the beast was distracted, clawing at it's face, screeching in agony, River lunged forward and formed a wave of water behind him before tossing it forward and knocking the beast down.
"Nature, now!" He called to his ally.
Mother Nature quickly pulled out a small white blade from a hidden sheath beneath her armour and plunged it into the beast's back before running forward, dragging the blade along it. Once she reached it's head, she yanked the blade out and stood back and watched as the beast stilled, the long gash glowing a bright white.
Suddenly, black mist began to pour out of the gash and evaporate into nothing as the beast slowly turned white. It's razor sharp claws and teeth shrunk down and it's black fur turned softer as it turned white. Soon all of the black mist was drained and the beast was now in the form of a young lion, laying there peacefully.
Mother Nature walked up to the lion and placed a hand on it's mane. "Rest now." She whispered soothingly before it evaporated into white mist and floated up into the sky.
"Why must you always be so mushy with them, Nature?" River scolded, earning a punch on the shoulder.
"You alright, Coop?" She asked, walking up to him as he held his arm.
"I'm fine." He insisted, trying to move his arm to prove his point but only stopped when his face contorted into pain.
"You sure don't look fine. We better get you to base." River said, folding his arms. The snake suddenly shifted into a boy with spiky hair and scales on his arms. River gave him a knowing look and chuckled. "Yes, Varil, you can see her. But I can't guarantee she'll be there."
Even with the chance of her not being there, the half-spirit's eyes lit up at the thought of seeing his lover, Light. Mother Nature chuckled and leaned closer to Cupid.
"Love is such a beautiful thing, huh Coop?" The sighs wistfully, grinning at Cupid.
Cupid rolled his eyes. "Are we gonna have to walk to base or what?" He urged, though a small grin flashed on his face that he didn't try hard enough to hide.
Mother Nature chuckled before creating a portal which the three ally's leaped through, leaving the now quiet yet damaged meadow free of evil spirits.
