**Friendly POV**

I stared out into the blizzard that stormed through the entire North Pole. The remains of North's workshop were hidden deeply beneath the snow, bits of rubble sticking out here and there. It really was a depressing sight, which is why we had no windows. Except for this small opening where only I usually stood. Where were we? We were hidden deep within this ice cavern where no Shadow would find us. If one of them even thought to trespass, they would be blinded and shocked by the force field that hid the entire entrance from outsiders. There was only one way in and one way out. For the other spirits that is. Thanks to my ghost abilities I am able to carry them through the walls if needed, though it never really is.

Thirteen years we have been living in this place, trying to find a way to bring the world back to peace.

We call ourselves Shadow Hunters.

We were formed twelve years ago. A year after the world was plunged into chaos when the Shadows were released. We don't know who released them, nor do we know why but one day, we will find out.

The other Guardians trusted me to lead the pack and I couldn't say no. All we want is for the world to be back to the way it should be.

These Shadows are the most deadliest creatures that have ever lived. They are the negative emotions that built up inside a beings heart. If that being is murdered and has not been avenged, has committed an unforgivable sin before it's death or has purposefully murdered themselves, then these emotions collide together and form what we call a Shadow.

These shadows roam the earth, in search for the most purest of souls in which they feed. Many humans have been consumed by these shadows. Innocent lives have been lost and it's up to us to stop this monstrosity.

One day, one day we will find a way to stop these spirits from emerging. One day we will rid them forever. One day, the world will be back to the way it was before.

"Miss Sophia!"

I looked over my shoulder to see Skye running up to me, her expression urgent. She never gets out of the habit of calling me that.

"You are needed in the globe room, immediately."

I nod in reply before waving my arm. White mist rose up from the ground and covered the opening of the cavern I had made to peer on the outside before hardening and hiding it completely. I turned around and dashed straight past her, phasing through the wall and flying in a straight line towards the globe room. The yetis had worked hard on that new globe for months. Thanks to them, we still have a way on seeing how many children still believe in us. But now it had a new feature that me and Light particularly helped create. With our ability to sense those in danger of negative spirits, we found a way to project those onto the globe, so now white mist circles the area where the person is in danger.

When I reached the globe room, it was chaos, as usual. People were running, flying and teleporting everywhere. Constant murmuring, shouting and even screaming echoed through the room as orders were stated and carried out.

As soon as I stepped on the ground, many spirits that passed me saluted in greeting and I simply nodded in reply. I was greatly respected here, as were the other Guardians.

"Who called for me?" I asked North when I reached the globe. He was gripping onto the edge of the small fence that separated us from the globe, staring at it intently. Without a word, he simply nodded his head to our right and I followed his gaze to see Jack rushing up to me, his face filled with determination. He never failed to make my heart beat twice as fast. His black shirt with no sleeves showed off his muscular arms and the black jeans clung to his toned legs...very toned le- okay stop it Ghosty, this is no time to drool over your husband.
