Vacation's End [Part 22]

Max's POV

After our walk on the beach we saw our hotel in the distance and just decided to walk there instead of hailing a cab. After about fifteen minutes we reached the hotel. We got in the elevator and went to the room. When we go to the room Ross just threw himself on the bed and passed out. I looked at the clock and it said it was 9:30. I guess since Ross just passed out he's not gonna be awake for a while. I think I'm gonna go do a little shopping. I walked to the hotel lobby and saw a strip mall across the street. I walked around for a little bit then a noticed a jewelry shop. 

This place makes me think of Ross asking me about getting married. I would love to get married to him. He makes me feel so happy all the time and I never want to leave him. But we started dating not too long ago and it's too soon for marriage. But it doesn't hurt to just take a peek does it. I walked into the little shop and was amazed at how beautiful all the pieces were. I looked at the rings they had and they were spectacular. One had really caught my eye though. It was sterling silver molded into the shape of a narwhal peeking out of the water. The horn had diamonds encrusted on it and the water had tiny sapphires in it. 

I asked the owner about it and she said it was about $130. I stared at it for quite sometime. Max are you sure about this I thought I was a little crazy for thinking about that but it didn't matter to me. I turned around and walked back to the hotel but not without something special. When I got back to the room Ross was still asleep on the bed and I put the bag in my suit case and fell asleep with him. 

~Time skip to the last day of the vacation because I'm running out of ideas for Hawaii~

Ross' POV

I woke up the next morning to see Max on the couch of the hotel room reading a book. "Morning Maxxy" I said to him. He turned around and put his book down. "Morning sweetie did you sleep well" Max said to me. I smiled and nodded my head. I got out of the bed and gave Max a hug. "Today's the day we go back to Washington, but I don't want to leave" I said to Max. He smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Well Adam's gonna lose it if we just quit and stay here in Hawaii, besides Washington isn't so bad" Max said. I laughed at him. "Max before we head to the airport there's something I want to show you" I said. 

"Sure what is it" Max said. I gave him a smirk. "It's a secret but it will totally be worth it" I said to him. I grabbed his hand and took him to the garden I saw the first day we were here. I heard Max gasp beside me. "Ross this is beautiful when did you find this" Max said to him. I recounted my story of the first day and told him I was just exploring. Max let go of my hand and looked at me. "Ross stay here I'll be right back okay" Max said turning. "Okay Maxxy I'll wait for you here" I said to him. I found a small little bench I could sit at and just sat there waiting for him. Max came back with something clenched in his hand. 

"Ross I want to know how much do you love me" Max asked. I stare at him Why was he asking me this. "I love you more than anything in the world Max" I said. We both stood up but Max kneeled in front of me. Is he oh my god he is. 

"Ross I know this may seem a little sudden, but when we were talking about marriage during hat day over dinner I couldn't get the thought out of my mind. I love you Ross and there is no other person I would rather spend my time with. If you don't want to I completely understand. I just had to get this off my chest" Max said. I stared at him for a long time. At this point the silence was starting to become awkward. I don't know what to say but I love Max so much. I don't know what to do. 

I kept thinking but Max stood and stared at me. "I guess that's a no then. It's okay Ross I understand, I guess it was a little too soon anyways" Max said. I could tell he was trying not to cry but he was doing a bad job of it. He turned around and walked away.

I know you guys hate cliffhangers but I needed a little suspense. How do you guys feel? Will Ross let Max leave? Or will Ross run to him to stop him from leaving his life? Comment your choice and it may happen or I may not listen to any of you and do something completely stupid hay I don't know
