Mist Haven

Its morning and I wake up to sweet sound of waves crashing. For the first time in forever I actually slept all night. The nightmares that haunt me didn't haunt me last night and for some reason I was happy. This was an unknown feeling to me because of all the crap that has happened does not allow me to feel happiness. Well last night before hurting my hand I was definitely happy. I get up and I change into my regular attire and I make my way up to the quarter deck. "Morning captain" says Mr. Fitz with a sweet smile on his face. "Morning." "Ready for today" he asks with a concerned look on his face. I look at my hand and I put it into a fist and snarl. "I've been ready." He smiles. "We are due to set port in a couple of minutes." I nod. "You know the drill Mr. Fitz." He nods. "I will go and find information about those people and come and let you know." I pulled him closer and whispered something to him. "I need you to also find out information about a man." "Who captain" he asks looking around. "When I knew him he went by the name of Jack Harrison." He gasped. "You mean that pirate your late father fought when you were but a wee thing?" I nod. "Why do you have a sudden interest in him?" I get nervous and I start to panic. "Just figure out his whereabouts or any information in regards to him." He nods and smiles. "Aye aye captain." I nod and grin. "Thank you." "Land Ho" someone screams. We set port and I walk at the edge of the quarter deck. "You all know the drill gentlemen." Everyone nods. "I expect you all to be back the latest by dusk, oh Kyle and Luke y'all are guarding the ship." They nod and Everyone stormed off and I see Liam and Robin standing there clueless. I walk down and laugh. "Oh come on men, this is one of the many joys the pirate's life brings to one." They nod and Robin wanders off and I start to walk away. That's when Liam grabs my arm and looks at my bandaged hand. "Emma what happened?" I pull away. "That's none of your concern mate." "You hurt your hand didn't you, that was your blood from last night?" I scoff. "Why do you care" I say as I walk off the ship. Liam catches up to me. "What if I do care, do you have a problem with that?" I couldn't help but feel awesome inside due to the fact that he was worried about me but of course I can't show it, that would only make it seem that I'm this easy woman. "Well you can care all you want but I'm not telling you crap" I say and make my way to the tavern. He scoffs and I turn around and I give him a smirk. "How about we put you're thieving skills to the test tonight." His face drops. I circle around him and I start to taunt him. "You know how it is to be a pirate on a ship, you know how to scrub the decks, how to hoist sails, you look like one and you even know how to yield a sword but can you actually do the dirty deeds Mr. Johnson?" He stays quiet. I knew he was way too good to do the stealing part that comes with being a pirate. He smiles. "If the captain orders for me to steal then that's what I shall do." I smiled and said to myself oh he's good. Too good. "Very well Mr. Johnson now let's go enjoy some leisure time before work." He nods and we both walk in. I see Robin talking to some other men totally ignoring Liam which I thought was odd. Liam and I sit down together at a table. They serve us rum and we just sat there quietly. That's when a woman goes up to Liam and starts to flirt with him. "So what are you looking for handsome, you want to have a good time?" I look at her and she's another blonde like me and I gotta say she was honestly beautiful. I don't know why but I get enraged that she's flirting with him. Liam smiles and I interrupt them. "Beat it tramp he's with me" I say as I take another sip of rum. I was honestly in shock that those words actually came out of my mouth. Was I actually jealous of that blonde tramp? She scoffs. "Well holler if you need anything handsome." I laugh as I see her walking away. Yeah I need to play it smooth because if I don't he will think that I was jealous. Liam smiles at me. "Jealous are we?" I coughed and then laughed. "You think I was jealous of that blonde lass?" He nods. "You don't let me get close to you but you don't want anyone to get close to me. Come on make up your mind Emma." It's funny how he's saying this because it's honestly how I'm feeling. I do want him but at the same time I don't. "I'm only looking out for you because I need you to be focused on tonight's robbery and nothing more." He scoffs. "Sure." I give him an exaggerated smile and he smiles back. "So I see Robin has made friends with some of the crew members" I say as I drink some more rum. He looks over to Robin and sighs. "Yeah I guess so." "Have you made any friends or acquaintances" I ask and he stays quiet. I chuckle and sigh. "Yeah some of my men can be ruthless." He nods. "Don't you think I don't know what my men say about me when I'm not around." Liam looks at me with a bit of shock and concern. I scoff. "You don't need to stay quiet, I know they think I'm this heartless person because of what happened long ago but it's just that they don't understand. If they only knew." He leaned closer to me and whispered. "Knew what?" I smirked. "Wouldn't you like to know?" "Perhaps" he said as I felt him get even closer to me. That's when Mr. Fitz sits down next to me. "Captain I have excellent news." Liam and I back away and I cough and smile. "So those people that were the cause of the tragedy haven't been seen since that day so I did some more snooping around and I found out that the they were hired from the queen of Garrington." I gasp and so did Liam. I gave him a weird look and he sort of changed his facial expression. I look at Liam and he's pale. "Hey" I say and I snap my fingers in front of his face and nothing. I push him and he finally comes back. "Hey you ok, you sort of like left to another realm" I say and laugh. He laughs and smiles. "I'm sorry it's just my mind wanders you know." I laugh. "Ah yes but I need you focused because I happened to have found a perfect place where you can steal from tonight." He nods and smiles. He seemed off after we talked about this whole Garrington thing. "Will you excuse me captain" he says as he walks out the tavern. I look at Mr. Fitz with a confused look on my face. "What's up with him." He shrugs. "Oh and remember the name you gave me Jack Harrison it seems that after that encounter with your father he went and married off with someone named Helena and get this she is from Garrington as well." I gasp. "Guess what is the queens name of Garrington?" "Helena" I say as I snarl. He nods. I was enraged. "I also found out that they have a son named Killian." I smiled. "What a way to get back at Helena and Jack than to take away their son and feeding him to the Sharks." He laughs. "Oh but there's one thing." I stop smiling. "Well Jack died and the son has gone missing." I hit the table. "Blast then I guess once we get to Garrington we will figure out how to go on from there." Mr. Fitz nods. "Thanks and good job as always, now go and have fun." He nods and walks away. I sat there thinking that it was no coincidence that these two things were linked. I didn't even have the time to wrap my head around the Jack thing because I was enraged that my dear queen Helena was the one that sent that fleet to destroy us. As I was gathering my thoughts I wondered where Liam was at. Then it hit me that he ran off.

Liam/Killian POV
I can't believe when I heard my moms name and my kingdom was responsible for the tragedy that happened in Emma's life. She lost two people she loved because of that. I felt like I was to blame after all I was going to be king so might as well put an end to this. I had to know what happened. What was that tragedy that everyone is talking about but no ones seem to want to tell me? I was going to get it out of Emma sooner or later. I was still in shock out of this whole ordeal. Could I had not picked a person who was more linked to my family than I was to escape. I wanted my past to stay in the past but what I need to make sure is that she never finds out that I'm the prince of Garrington because for sure she will make me walk the bloody plank to avenge the death of her loved ones. I was going crazy. The good thing is that no one here really knows how the prince of Garrington looked like so I have to take advantage of that.
