By Your Side ; Garmau ( On Hold )

Chapter Two

I hadn't know anything about the basement until I went down there. Maids, butlers, Knights, and practically the whole castle - except for my dad. I scan everyone in the knight section until I spot him. Garroth. My heart feels like it's gonna explode anytime soon. After taking a deep breath, I head over to him. 

" Lady Aphmau ! Are you okay ?" He asks, looking concerned.

" I'm fine," I say, looking him over. His armour is beat up, looking like its gonna break soon. His face is scratched up, and he looks like he's gonna pass out anytime soon. His hands are bloody, his forehead practically covered in sweat. " Are YOU okay ?"

" Been better," he admitted. " Hey, Aphmau ?"

" Yeah ?" 

" Coast is clear !" Someone yells from above. 

" Later," Garroth says darkly.

I watch as he walks away, and for some reason an unexplainable reason, a hollow feeling erupts through me. I'm walking through the hallways when I bump into my father. He smiles at me, and ruffles my hair. " Get some sleep, Jess. I'm sure your tired from your trip." I smile back. Only dad calls me Jess. " Thanks dad !" I yell over my shoulder before running into my room.Quickly, I change into my PJs and brush my teeth. I turn off the lights, and just when I'm about to climb into bed, I hear shuffling feet. I'm about to shrug it off, when someone blindfolds me and gags me. I swung wildly around the room, until someone clamps their hand over my mouth. I don't have much time to react before the hand is replaced by a gag, and I'm thrown into some sort of burlap sack. 

" Don't try a thing," someone growls and I shudder. 

I'm in that bag, not knowing what to do, just left into the darkness, by myself. And here I thought I wasn't the type of princess that needed to be rescued.
