Brother ?
I stand there, my mouth hanging open. He was with him the whole time. I thought it was weird that he and I were the only ones that were taken ... He betrayed me.
I staggered, starting to fall. Garroth quickly catches me, but I push him away.
" Get away from me," I growl.
He stares at me oddly but quickly covers it with a ' whatever ' look.
Why am I so hurt ? I barely knew him. At all.
" You ... "
He looks puzzled, which makes me angrier.
" Don't give me that face !" I snap, pointing an accusing finger at him ," I don't know why I even trusted you !"
He looks even more puzzled. I can't believe myself ... letting myself put some trust into him ... that's low, considering you practically just met him a few chapters ago.
My eyes are blurry with tears. My vision straying to get blurry.
Zane just looks amused. " Garroth ? You didn't tell her we were related ?"
" I ... Only met her around thirty minutes ago."
And that just stung me more. Why do I care so goddamn much ? My head throbs, my body limp and bloody. I collapse to the ground.
" Aphmau !"
Someone yells. But I'm too tired, too hurt to care.
