Third Person POV :

Aphmau's eyes widened as she watched Zane slump to the floor.
As she glanced over at Garroth. She didn't know why, but tears started to flood up to her eyes.
" Aphmau ?" Garroth ran over to her, wiping a tear from her eye.
I've only know you during these few hours, but you feel familiar.
" Aphmau ?"
She shook him off and smiled," It's all right, Garroth. Let's go."
Garroth nodded hesitantly before grabbing Zane's gun and throwing it to her.
" Woah !" Aphmau exclaimed before fumbling and putting it in her jean's back pocket.
" Sorry," Garroth smiled slightly before opening the door," Let's go."
They only walked a little before being surrounded by guards.
" Halt," One yelled.
Garroth frowned before whispering," Aphmau, get down."
She did as he was told, and as soon as she did, Garroth swung his fists around like the Hulk, smashing everything and anything in his way. He grabbed a sword from a guard's hand and slashed his head off.
Aphmau trembled and watched. She felt helpless.
Garroth smiled down at her, still fighting," You go up ahead. I'll catch up with you later."
" No."
" Aphmau, I'll be fine."
She felt numb as she mumbled a," Thanks."
But Garroth couldn't hear her as he slashed with his sword.
I should've trusted him.

*******************************
Aphmau kept running till she had to rest.
" Ah, there you are."
She spun to see her father.
" Xander."
" Jess."
She frowned before saying," What do you want ?"
" I want you back."
" Look, Xander. I don't want anything to do with you and your army."
" Life isn't all about fairy tales," Xander snapped. " So, what if you leave here, what will happen then ? Will you be safe ? Do you really think you're going to be okay ?"
" It's better than being with you," Aphmau said, fury rising in her eyes.
" Oh ?" He raised his eyebrows.
She could feel her temper rising," You have no shame, do you ? About Mom."
" I tried. I really did."
" Then why didn't you do anything ?"
" You don't understand."
" You have to learn to accept the truth, Dad."
" I know. But it wasn't my fault anyway."
Aphmau was tired of playing this game. She whipped out the pistol from her pocket," Let's decide this like adults."
Xander started laughed hysterically.
" What ?"
" You ... won't ... fire. " He stopped for a breath," I know you well enough to know that. You're just trying to intimidate me."
" How do you know that ?"
" Father's instinct."
" Don't say I didn't warn you."
She pointed the pistol at Xander, who was still laughing.
" You can go ahead and ' shoot '. I know you won't, though."
" So I have permission."
" Jess, I know you won't do it."
I smiled sadly before pulling the trigger.
" Maybe you don't know me as well as you think you do."
