I have an appointment with the counsellor to do a test. Bruno is coming with me and when we get to the room, Bam is waiting outside.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I ask.

"I have a right to know as it could be mine."

"Its not," I tell him.

"Wow, you're psychic now."

"No, I just worked out the dates," I lie.

"Bullshit! I'm coming in."

"No you're not," I say.

The door opens and the counsellor appears.

"Ready?" she asks.

"Does he have to come in?" I ask as I look at Bam.

"Not if you don't want him to," she replies.

I give Bam a look of satisfaction before we go into the room without him.

Me and Bruno sit down and the counsellor takes out pregnancy test before handing it to me.

"Let's just do this, shall we?" she says before pointing me to the small toilet attached to the room.

I go in and hear her and Bruno talking about his feeling over the possibility of the baby, if there is one, being Bam's.

"I admit, I will be disappointed but I already raise his daughter, from birth I might add, so this won't be any different," I hear him say as I pee on the stick.

"So you won't find it hard?"

"I don't think it'll be any different than it is now except when the baby is a little older, they'll be to children out of the house instead of one when he has visitation. I will always be their father, and I will always have Danny."

"Are you worried that people will ask whether Danny is actually your if this gets out about who the father might be?"

"There's always that possibility, but Danny Is mine. There's no disputing that."

"How will you handle it if rumours do get round? Will you do a test to prove to them?"

"No, I know Danny is mine. I don't need to prove anything to anyone. I fact, I won't even have a DNA test done if Bella is pregnant. I will know as soon as it's born."

"I suppose. You do have completely different skin tones, but what if the baby is fair skinned like Bella, will you presume it's Bam's?"

"I don't care who the father is, to be honest. It'll be Bella's baby so I'll love it no matter what. It won't be the baby's fault who it's father is."

I look at the test stick and then go out of the bathroom.

"Well?" Bruno asks.

"I'm pregnant," I say, not overly thrilled. I didn't really want another baby and I'm apprehensive over who the father is going to be."

"Okay," the councillor says. "How do you feel, Bella?"

"Confused, frightened, nervous."

"Confused because...?"

"I don't know what I want to do."

"So you may not want to keep it?"

"We weren't planning on having another baby and whether it's Bam's or Bruno's, if I get rid of it, at least if I wish to have another baby, I'll know for sure it's with my husband."

"I understand why you're frightened but why are you nervous?"

"Nervous at telling Bam I'm pregnant cus he'll want to be there for scans, appointments and stuff."

"You know, he doesn't have a right to the baby until it's born and proved to be his. You aren't obligated to tell him you're pregnant."

I look at Bruno.

"You could tell him you're not. It's gonna be months before you show and we can hide it for as long as possible."

"What if he wants prove?"

Bruno sighs.

"I bet he's right outside," I say.

"Would you like him in here?" the counsellor asks.

"Best to get it over with," I sigh so the counsellor opens the door and Bam falls in.

I shake my head.

"Did your mother tell you it's rude to eavesdrop?" I ask. "Oh, yeah, that's right, you've never done what your mother tells you."

"Sit down, Brandon," the counsellor instructs so he does.

"So what's the result?" he asks as he sits down.

"Well I'm gonna have another baby," I tell him but he's not as excited as I thought he'd be.

"I think you should get rid of it," he says.

"What?" me and Bruno say together.

"We all know you don't want another baby with me."

"It might not be yours," Bruno says.

"But do you want to wait until it's born to find out? When it's too late to do anything about it?"

"Actually, I'm not killing my baby...whether its yours or yours it is still my child" I say, making my mind up there and then.

"Okay, well if you wanna put up with me for another eighteen years, so be it."

"It might not be yours," I huff. "In fact, whoever the father, I'm gonna make sure you can't screw up Alecia anymore."

I get up and leave the room.
