Chapter 24: Too Soon

   After me being in the hospital for almost a week because they wanted to keep an eye on the baby I was finally let out. I was so happy to be going home, so i won't have to be isolated in a building, and hooked up to wires and shit. I can now stay home and chill. Also maybe work on my album.

At the moment I am brushing Danny's hair so Bruno can fix and shape his afro that he has going on because it looks a little off.

"Bam said he was going to come over", Bruno sighs

"did you say that he can?", I ask

he shakes his head. I sigh and continue to do my sons hair.

"Mommy, stop it hurts", Danny says

"I know sweetie I'm almost done", i promised

I finished the last piece and sent him to his father so he can get his hair done.

"Alecia!", I call

"Yes, Mom?", She ask in a sad voice

"Honey, what is wrong?", I ask

"I'm dying", she cries

I give her a confused look and I look at Bruno who had a look of terror upon his face.

"Hang on Danny", Bruno says and walks over to Alecia. "why do you say that?", He ask

"because, I went to the bathroom and then I saw a lot of blood on my underwear", She says

"Oh fuck my life", I groan

I get up and take her hand. We go into the bathroom and i sit her on the toilet lid and i sit on the edge of the tub.

"Hun, your not dying. I thought your health teacher told you about this", I say

"the girls are supposed to go in one room and the boys another room tomorrow", She says

"Okay, well I'm going to explain to you what has happened and then tomorrow you can go to school to learn more", I say

she nods.

"Okay, what has happened is that you had a period", I say

she nods.

"it doesn't mean your dying. it just means that you body is capable of having a baby like me", I explain

"so, everyone gets it?", she asks

"no, just girls", i say

"then why is there blood?"

"Um, Okay, for 24 days an egg is released from your um...ovaries which is inside you. the egg waits for those 24 days for it to be...erm, fertilized so it can grow and become a baby. if the egg isn't fertilized by the 24th day then the egg...dies and the blood and other stuff comes out of you for five to seven days", I say

she stares at me in shocked.

"it is okay I was the same way as you but the only difference is that I got my first period when i was 13. You are just an early bloomer", I say

"okay...but what do I use to stop the blood from staining?"

"oh, you can either use pads or tampons. But, I'm not getting you tampons because of... um, I'm just not going to buy them for you until your older", I say

"can I have some now?"

I nodded.

"any questions though?", i ask

"well, I know about sex and stuff but I wanted to know...when did you lose your virginity?", she ask

my eyes widened. wow, even Bruno did not ask me this question.
