so i decided to publish another bonus chapter for my beloved readers, and besides it's a short story and we have like 5-6 more chapters to go. Thanks for reading and voting
"Morning momma" Zaffira said hugging her mom from behind.
"Someone sounds excited today" Cora said.
"Of course I am, today is Founders Day" she smiled at her mother.
"Even though I hated it when I was younger" she added picking a piece of toast from her mother's plate and lodged it into her mouth.
"Horrible manners, Zaffira" her mother said.
"You should've asked first" she added.
"Sorry momma" she said giving her mother one of her world famous puppy dog faces as she gobbled up the rest of the toast.
"Can I please have some of your coffee" she asked maintaining the 'puppy dog' routine.
"There's enough in the coffee pot for another cup, pour some for yourself" her mother replies drinking from her mug.
"No, I want yours" she whined, playfully of course.
"Fine" her mother gave in.
Zaffira only took a sip and then gave it back to her mother.
"Got to get ready, don't wanna be late for work" Zaffira beamed as she walked out of the kitchen and to her room.
Cora thought its strange but still was happy she didn't have to drag her daughter out of bed today.
After waiting shorter than she usually does for her daughter, they both head out for work.
"You're late" Jo said to Zaffira as walked in.
"I'm always late, Jo, get used to it" she said slamming the dressing room door. She quickly changed and rushed out to start working.
"I'm not staying for long today" she said to a customer.
"Today is founders' day!" she announced.
"Care to go with me?" Aiden asked popping out of nowhere.
"I thought we were going together?" Riya asked also popping up from nowhere; according to Zaffira at least.
"Yes, I'm going with both of you" Aiden said slinging both his arms around both girls. That was a terribly stupid childish attempt to get them together.
"No!" they said in union. Zaffira would have said yes in a heartbeat were it under different circumstances.
"Then, I'll go with someone else if I can't go with both of you" Aiden said giving a girl from a table across from them 'The Look'
"Fine, I'll go" Zaffira agreed, but Riya-of course-did not.
She carefully scanned the room looking for one guy in particular, and she found him.
Without looking back Riya walked up to Zaffira's almost boyfriend.
Almost because they've liked each other for a while but none of them have said anything.
"No, no, no" Zaffira protested, but Riya went along anyway.
"Hi, Bale" Riya smiled and batted her eyes at the boy.
"Hello, Riya" he said setting his book aside as he looked up to her.
"Do you mind going to the founders' day ball with me?" she asked.
