His men saw what Zaffira was capable of they begin to run but Aiden had already called the police and they caught up to them.
Zaffira picked up the small vile and rushed to her mother's side.
She lifted her head and gently fed her the antidote. She waited for her mother to wake up, she waited and waited but nothing happened.
"I'll call an ambulance" Aiden said giving Zaffira some space with her mother.
"Please don't leave me too, momma, please..." she sobbed into her mother's chest "I love you, momma" she sobbed and her tears seeped through her shirt and onto her chest.
Zaffira was sobbing so hard she hadn't realized her mother's eyes had opened.
"I love you too baby" she whispered and placed her hand on Zaffira's head. Zaffira couldn't believe it. She thought her mother was gone.
What Zaffira didn't realize was she was the one saved her mother. The tears that escaped her eyes were actually filled with the power of the crystal.
"Momma!" she exclaimed "You're alive" she hugged her as she sat up on the gernie.
"Yes my dear. You know what you have to do with the crystal don't you?" her mother said to her.
"I can't keep the powers momma, look what I did?" she gestured to Wade.
"No, Zaffira. Your father wanted it to be destroyed. The powers cannot be used against us or even your children. You are the crystal now" she strokes the side of Zaffira's cheek.
"Okay" she drawled.
She held the crystal in both palms and it hovers.
"Perdere" and the crystal disappeared.
The ambulance came and Cora was loaded in, Zaffira was to ride with her but she had to speak to Aiden before she left.
She walked over to him near his car.
"Aiden, thank you very much, I couldn't have done this without you" Zaffira thanked him by hugging him.
"What are friends for?" he said hugging her back. She stepped away from their hug.
"Goodnight Aiddy" she said and turned to walk away. Aiden grabbed her wrist to stop her from walking away.
"I haven't said goodnight yet" he spun her around and pressed her to his chest. He looked down at her lips and then into her eyes. Before she could even think about it Aiden had pressed his lips against hers.
He kissed her back! She thought.
She replicated his moves and the kiss she had waited for since she knew what feelings were was finally happening. It was Aiden, her Aiddy was kissing her and it felt so right.
The pulled away and instantly Zaffira's eyes dart to her feet.
"It has always been you Zaff" he said her eyes dart back up to his.
"And It will always be you" Zaffira's face turns bright pink as her cheeks heat up.
"I... I love you Aiden" she said unsure what his response will be.
"And I love you Zaffira, I always have" she turns a deeper shade of pink and kisses him. No matter how many times she imagined this moment it was nothing like this.
"Finally" they heard voices say from behind them and they immediately turn their heads to see Aiden's parents.
Zaffira's cheek were already heated up and now they're more red than they were pink.
"Mother please-" Aiden began.
"Miss Payne, we have to leave now" the paramedic said to Zaffira.
"Alright" she smiled at him and then turned to Aiden.
"Bye Aiden, I'll see you tomorrow?" she said kissing him on the cheek. "Yeah" he whispered as she walked over to the ambulance so she could ride to the hospital with her mother.
"So you and Aiden uhn" Cora started.
"Mother please" she blushed and the pair laughed.
"I love you, honey" Cora said stroking the side of her daughter's face.
"I love you too, momma" Zaffira smiled placing her hand over her mother's.
Zaffira and Cora's relationship was a force not to be reckoned with; a mother-daughter relationship that is unbreakable.
