The dark hall ways stretched out before her. Shivering she stepped forward, her foot normally soft steps echoing eerily on the metal walls. She walked cautiously over to the door standing still at the end of the hall. She composed herself before reaching out to press the grey button pad on the door. After waiting for the scanner to verify her the doors opened with a slow hissing sound sound of the machinery in the thick plated walls.

"Enter Agent BK47. Title: Spinel"

A voided and chilling computerized voice greeted her and Spinel stepped forward into the strange room.
The left and right side walls was covered in monitors and the far side wall was taken up up by a large window overlooking the grotesque  genocide below them. A figure stood in front of the window, the bright streams of light from the room they were observing; making a silhouette, obscuring them from view.

Spinel called out to the figure "You called."

The figure turned and Spinel heard the low hiss of the door closing behind her.

"Well that wasn't convenient stage setting at all." she muttered under her breath, not bothering to spare a glance behind her. "Really? The self shutting door?" Spinel snorted in exasperation.

Spinel turned her attention to the figure. "I thought you didn't like house calls." she raised one eyebrow and walked forward a few paces, keeping her distance from the shadow cloaked figure.

The figure ignored her nonchalant comments and raised their head. Their voice was low and soothing, sending an involuntary shiver down Spinel's spine. The words were cold and made her tense and nearly took a step back. She hated that smug bastards voice.

"I have another mission for you."

She rolled her eyes and gave the shadowed figure her agitated attention, "So? Why not just send one of your sheep corporate subordinates to tell me like you do every other time? What made you give a shit this time? The little "la revolution" you have going on in your basement? All offence, but quite frankly, I don't think you give a flying fuck about those single brain celled assholes."

The figure turned away to watch the glorified slaughter once more, bluntly ignoring Spinel's snarky jab.

"Tell me Spinel," the figure started abruptly, beckoning  her over absentmindedly. "What do you see?"

Spinel grunted and crossed over the smooth metal plates to the thick window. " Oh my good sir, I wasn't aware some one as gracious and spectacular as you even knew my name. I am truly honored."

"Answer the question."

The girl scoffed and sneered slightly at her superior's command. "Me?" Spinel dryly laughed in distain. "I see a bunch of pathetic wannabe psychopaths practically squealing for your attention."

She looked down at the large white room they oversaw. Large clear, glistening white panels coving every inch of floor, blood pooling in the crevices. Multi coloured, strangely armed 'trainees' slitting each other's necks. Sword upon sword, friend upon friend, Spinel watched the carnage unfold from behind the thick glass. Disputes no being able to hear or smell the blood bath she felt as if she could almost smell the metallic onslaught of blood. The chamber below once white was now painted in crimson death.
She could barely concentrate on any aspect of the chamber. The only thing her eyes could comprehend was the torn flesh and boiling blood of the gladiators.
The young lady observed the bloody battles and didn't bat an eye. She had participated in the battles many a time before, but Spinel had never observed it from above. Like a benevolent god watching on at the death and chaos below.
Was this how that asshole next to her felt when they looked out at the carnage? Had they ever seen her VR training? Her kills?

She focused  in on a cherry red gladiator with a strange mace like weapon radiating power and a teal warrior with a strange looking circled spinning saw on a strange handle. The teal gladiator was wounded badly, a large dripping hole ran right through his side. Spinel was a impressed that he was still awake, let alone still in the land of the living. She could see through his right rib cage and the weapon had narrowly missed the heart. With a silent blood curdling scream Spinel watched him bring the large buzz saw down, just missing his opponent. The red warrior brought his mace down with a mighty blow, crushing the teal warriors back with a sicking crunch. Blood sprayed from the mutilated corpse and Spinel watched the teal warrior fall limp, eyes drained and empty.

She waited for the person beside her to speak and reached into her pocket. She brought out a cigarette and lighter. Absent minded, she lifted the cigarette to her mouth and lit it with the small sliver lighter. Spinel took a long breath, inhaling the smoke and blowing it back out in a trail of smoke that wafted up to the ceiling.

"You're way too young for that you know."

She sudden the voice made her drop the cigarette in shock, with hacking coughing she reached for her wepon before remembering that it had been confiscated.

A blue clothed boy around her age stood in the door way. His fingers were constantly moving, rolling three dice in one hand and the other tucked into his large pockets. His grey eyes burned into her and she blinked in shock before regaining her nonchalant  persona.

"Avant. Lovely to see ya Ol' pal! Ya know. You'd think after your last bout of fucking off you wouldn't be back again. I guess I owe you money." Spinel sneered at Avant, stepping forward.

"Spinel, it's been awhile. I see you haven't aged well."

"Fuck you."

"No half arsed, blunt sarcastic remark?"

"Quiet."
The soft cold voice cut through the tension thick air before the argument evolved to violence as in normally did. Honestly Spinel thought this was a new record. She had gotten a few words in before the stabbing started. She took that as a win
Avant snapped his attention to the shadowy figure. Spinel sighed and pulled out another cigarette and lifted it to her mouth and was about to light it but Avant slapped it from her hands.

"Ohh, do forgive me. Didn't know you cared so much." The disgruntled girl grumbled under her breath. The glare Avant sent her was enough to freeze any other mere mortal to stone.

The figure stepped forward and turned towards the two and ignored the heated glares each were sending each others ways. Avant was half way to pulling his hand from his pocket when the cold harsh voice broke them from their silent battle.

"You have both been unlisted in into a new pet project of mine. Project SALEM."

"Oh wonderful." Spinel muttered under her breath, "A pet project." If history reads true this is going to go grandly."

"And?" Avant inquired, ignoring Spinel's comment and taking half a step forward towards the silhouette."

"And," The figure growled "you won't fail me."
