The warm air coiled up into the grey cloaked sky in silvery wisps. The snow sizzled under his feet as he stood tall in the snow, a monolith that stood unwavering in the bitter wind.

He leapt into the air, arcing over head in a graceful pirouette. He landed with a almost silent tap of his boots on the cold metal above.

The lighting shot back, it's master whirled around to face him, face etched in the wrath of a god. Her hammer slammed down, tearing the steel as if it were paper, a flurry of sparks fading in the hammers trail.

Cuba darted back, the hammer just missing flattening him. His opponent bellowed in fury, each swing leaving her open. But the moment Cuba darted forward the hammer swung once more, each blow coming closer and closer to his summersaulting form as he leapt away.

Cuba dipped and weaved, he slipped down and snatched her leg with one hand, he slid around her, sparks flying from the cold metal of the deck and his staff glowed with a roaring flame. She stumbled and her eyes widened in agony as the bo staff slammed into her back. Her spine arched in agony as she let out a gasp of pain.

The female warrior growled in pain. Cuba shot forward to finish her but she spun around with inhuman speed, her hammer cracking with thunder she dealt a deadly blow.

Cuba swept his staff around to block, the hammer connected with his weapon merely inches away from his head. He grunted in pain, muscles aching under the strain of the war hammer pressing down.
He darted down under the colossal hammer just as it slammed down.
Cuba brought his staff up with increasing speed, his opponent only just had enough time to pull her head back before the staff came flying up, barley scraping past. Sliced golden hairs floated down from her head, swaying with the fragments of snow that danced in the wind.

She brought her head back and Cuba hadn't time to blink when her head collided with his. He stumbled back, clutching his bleeding head, scarlet staining his hair into clumps.

He was slammed against the scarlet stained steel of the wall. Hands clenched around his twig like neck.

He sputtered for air, chocking on his own blood. Crawling at the vice like grip he glared down at the lady pinning him to the cold steel, eyes blazing like a inferno in his sockets.

"You demon!" She spat, her voice trembling in anger. "Do you feel nothing?"

Cuba didn't answer. He couldn't. His head was starting to feel heavy. Darkness tainted his closing vision. He instead spat a gobbet of blood and saliva in her face.

The blood and spit trailed down her cheek and her face gained a new flame of rage. Her fingers tightened their steely trap around his frail neck. Cuba tried for a raspy gasp of air, he desperately scrabbled at the fingers around his neck to no avail.

"YOU BASTARD!!!" She screeched, her voice thundering into the wind.
Cuba could barely hear her roar, the world swam in and out of focus, black spotting across his eyes.

He was slammed against the wall again and again. The pain was numbed and Cuba could only focus in on his enemy, rage the only thing left in his misted head.

"YOU KILLED HIM!" Her ragged roars ripped through the fog of his mind. "YOUKILLEDHIMYOUKILLEDHIMYOUKILLEDHIMYOUKILLEDHIMYOUKILLEDHIMYOUKILLEDHIM!!!"

His body was a rag doll in her iron grip, each slam in time with the end of each screaming word from her mouth.

He was dropped to the icy cold panels, body like a broken doll. She towered over him, glimmering droplets gathering on her eye lashes. Her tears plummeted, mixing with the seas of crimson death that pooled at her feet.

The rage had drained from her body and she stood, slumped. Eyes voided she just stared blankly down at Cuba's beaten body. She brought her boot down and rammed her heel into Cuba's chest, the sick snap of rips rang through the air with every crunch.

"Why. . . . ?" Her voice wavered. "What did they do to deserve this? What did Yarrow do to deserve this?"

She let the tears roll down her milky cheeks as she stared down at the bloodied man. "Why are you like this?"

Cuba just stared up. Eyes boiling over with uncontainable anger. His bones rung with pain and hallow fury.

She just met his gaze with tired, empty sockets.

Tendrils of flame crept up his limp arms. They snaked up his body like ever grown vines, wrapping themselves around his shattered form.
They whispered unspoken words into his ears, a thousand voices that crept into his head as he lay motionless.

He closed his eyes and relished in the wispy words. The snapping of bones was replaced with only gentle hisses. Floods of agony were drowned out by the sighs of the wind.

Cuba felt a grin split his face. He let out a eerie giggle that made his tormentor freeze. The chilling laugh sent shivers down her spine. She took a step back, eyes fixed on the man shaking with laughter at her feet.

Laughter spasmed his limp body and he arose from the bloodied tiles. The lady summoned her hammer in a flash of light and readied her first attack when she froze. Cuba leapt forward with inhuman speed. The lady gurgled on her own blood, the staff jammed through her thin neck as she spluttered on her own blood.

Her eyes rolled back in their sockets as she struggled to stay alive.

"I win." Cuba hissed.

He pulled the staff out, an ark of blood followed. He smashed her through the wall that was already dented with his own blood. Her limp body hit the generator with a crack and she crumpled to the floor, barely breathing.

Cuba strolled past be rubble and fresh corpses, taking his time as he wandered leisurely to words her twitching form.

He bent over her and stared down into her clouded gaze. Her faded eyes flickered to his and she couldn't even muster the energy to glare.

Flames lapped Cuba's fist and he let the rage gather. Her skull cracked like a rotten pumpkin under his knuckles, blood dripping from his fist.

The gruesome grin was the last thing she saw as her life faded out into darkness.

The explosion lit the sky gold.

Flames danced up into the sky, flushing out the grey. Spinel watched on as smoke billowed out, joining the snowy clouds.

She sneered and slipped into the folds of the shadows.

"Good dogie." She chuckled.
