The next morning Judy hopped over to apartment 223A and knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal the cat detective, her ears perky and tail bushy.
"Were you on your way out?"
"Ya actually, I was just about to leave." The cat adjusted her overcoat and locked the door behind her.
What are you doing today?" Judy walked alongside her as they went down the stairs to the front door.
"Working on a case for a wolf, she has six puppies, and two went missing. Heard of it?"
"No but I'll probably hear something about it sometime." They walked on, the cat watching all of the animals that walked the streets of Zootopia.

Judy had left with Nick, so the cat detective headed for her case, to meet with the wolf who lived in the Rainforest Province. It wasn't everyday that she left the city, but the cat felt that she had gotten enough training to fit any situation.
She stepped off the train and found the mother wolf with four puppies running about her feet. She was trying her hardest to keep them under control.
"Mrs. Butler?" The cat waved to her and the wolf's ears perked up.
"Detective Von-Locke, I'm so happy to see you." She came over to the cat and shook her paw. "I'm worried sick about my two boys, please tell me if you can find them."
"Well, if you don't mind telling me some things, I'm sure we'll be able to find them."
The mother wolf led her to her home, a small house that was not quite suited to fit a family of eight. Once the puppies were sent to school, the cat and the wolf sat at the kitchen table.
"Can you tell me the last time you saw them?"
"Four days ago, I sent them to school and then," she began to choke up, "they never came back." She sniffled, tears staining her white fur.
"I'm very sorry," the detective patted her arm, but kept her focus on the pictures of the boys. They looked oddly familiar, as if she had seen them in Zootopia before. They were both about the age of five, the perfect age for mischief.
"Is it alright if I see their room?"
The mother wolf looked confused for a moment but complied, showing the cat the room that the six puppies shared. She found their bed and tore back the covers, and flipped over the pillows.
Five years old, one is tech savvy, the other not so much, one suffered from Eczema, the other Insomnia, but...
Von-Locke looked closer at the bed sheet. There were small signs of blood on the edge of the sheet nearest the window.
Just Eczema.
The boys were not kidnapped here. It was likely that they were taken on or after their bus ride to the school.
Von-Locke walked out of the boys' room and met Mrs. Butler in the kitchen.
"Did the boys ride with anyone on the bus?"
"Just friends I think. But it wasn't a school bus."
She looked around the house for a minute more, then turned back to the wolf. "You have no husband?" She said, rather bluntly.
"No, we were divorced a year ago. He needed help, but he never got it, and he began to become dangerous. So we were divorced, and I got a restraining order on him."
"Thank you," Von-Locke let the mother wolf know that she'd be leaving for a while, and then headed for the bus station.
Game changer.
