Chapter 20 4 year time skip

/At Akako's house/:
Akako's POV:
I can't believe its been 4 years since I've been back in Japan.. I decided to head to Card Capital for old times sake.

Akako's POV:
As I went inside I was greeted by Misaki. I hugged her happy to see that she was doing well. I smiled everything in here is still the same... "Akako..!" I turned to see Miwa..!!! "Miwa!!!" I said I hugged him... smiling..! "It's been awhile.!" he said I nodded it felt great to see him again.
Miwa told me that Kamui is working at Card Capital 2. I smiled. That's when Miwa pulled me outside..
"What is it." I said "Have you heard anything from Kai."  he said I shook my head no. "We talked for a while but we soon lost touch.." I said "Same with me." Miwa said "I assumed he's probably busy.." I said Miwa must've noticed I looked a little down... "Anyway..! We're having a tournament at Card Capital 2. You should sign up..!" Miwa said I thought for a moment... I smiled. "Sure..!" I said Miwa smiled patting my head he trailed his hand to my cheek. I looked at Miwa... he kissed my cheek and smiled at me. He went back inside the shop.

/At Card Capital 2/:
Akako's POV:
I signed up I looked at the sign up sheet... 'Toshiki Kai...' Wait... Kai is here..! "Akako..." I turned to see Kai..!!! "Kai..." I said I was about to say something.. but then Shin announced for the next fight.

It was soon my turn.. I looked to see was fighting Kai..! He looked at me a small smile on his face. We were about to start are cardfight.. "Hey Kai..! If Akako beats you she gets a surprise.!" Miwa said Kai glared at Miwa.. but what was this surprise..

/Fight Skip/
I ended up losing but I wasn't upset Kai beat me using his Stride.. "Akako..." I looked at Kai... "What is it Kai." I said "I've known you since we were kids.. and it's been 4 years since I've seen you..." Kai said I was slightly confused... what was he trying to say.. "Kai... what are you trying to say..." I said "Kai..! Catch.!" Miwa said throwing something... Kai caught it. Miwa smiled.. What was going on... Kai looked at me... he then went down on one knee.. he opened a small black box. "Akako Cho.. will you marry me..?" Kai said everyone was staring at us... I was speechless... tears were falling from my eyes... I smiled... "Yes..! Yes Kai..!" I said in tears Kai placed the ring on my finger smiling. I wiped my tears smiling at Kai. Kai kissed me passionately... we soon let go. Everyone started clapping for us. I smiled.. I was so happy..!!! Miwa pinched me.. "Ow.." I said "Just to help you make sure this isn't a dream." Miwa said smiling.. I smiled Miwa punched Kai's arm playfully.. "Congrats..! You finally proposed.!" Miwa said "Wait-..! Miwa you knew..!" I said "Well duh..!" Miwa said Kai rolled his eyes at Miwa. Kai pulled me outside... bringing me to his place.

/At Kai's house/:
Akako's POV:
Kai closed the door... and hugged me.. he brought me to his room.. and pushed me on his bed. "Kai..." I said a little nervous on what he was going to do.. he kissed me passionately I kissed back without hesitation... the kiss soon became heated..

Akako's POV:
Kai held me close.. I smiled feeling sleepy... "Get some rest.." he said I nodded.. "Okay..." I said falling asleep...

Kai's POV:
I smiled as I held Akako's sleeping figure in my arms.. I loved her more than anything even more than Vanguard.. she meant the world to me.. and she's going to mean more when were married.. I smiled again and kissed her forehead pulling the sheets over us.. I whispered in her ear... "Goodnight Akako.." I soon fell asleep holding the one I love in my arms.
