Author's note: I found the picture above and thought I'd share it with you guys.

Classes were over for the day and James, being the captain of the Gryffindor football team, had managed to book the pitch for the afternoon for some extra practice. Remus, wanting to be a supportive friend...and not actually having anything else to do, was sat on the side stands to watch them as he also completed his Maths homework. It was relatively easy so most of the time, he found himself watching the scene in front of him. Or more specifically, a certain black shoulder length haired teen. 'Damn...Sirius is so hot' he thought; his eyes widened momentarily before lowering his gaze to his lap as he felt his cheeks heat up 'whoa Remus!! You can't think like that!! He's one of your best friends for fuck sake!!'. Peeking up at his friend, Remus mentally sighed as he watched Sirius run across the field, soon taking the ball and shooting a score 'uhh!! But him in those shorts and long socks....I'm fucked!!'.

Remus knew he was bisexual, had for many years now, but had never ever thought of Sirius in that way...exactly; he had thought his friend was certainly boyfriend material and that whoever he was with or will someday be with would be extremely lucky. Surely he didn't like Padfoot...right?? 'My Padfoot...for fuck sake!! I can't be thinking like this!! He doesn't even like me like that!! And I don't even know if he likes guys!!' he shook his head of his annoying and muddled thoughts before focusing on the game. During the time out so that the players could get a drink, Remus held a bottle of water out for his close friend who happily took it with a smile before he and Peter sat down; James stood with the other players as he gave them a lecture on their performance.

"Is he always this...loud??" the newbie asked earning a chuckle from both boys "not normally, it's worse now because of the championship coming up" Peter explained, followed by Sirius who finished gulping down his drink "once that's over, he'll be better and ease off" he reassured before smirking "but when we win the cup, it'll all be worth it". Unknown to them, a certain three Slytherin's had approached them and had heard the last think Sirius had said to his mates "ha!! Like Gryffindor are gonna win the cup!!" Regulus laughed, catching the players and their supporters attention "the Slytherin's are gonna kick your asses in the championship!!" Malfoy smirked.

Rolling his eyes, Sirius spoke up as he handed the bottled water back to his friend "sure they will" he said, sarcasm dripping from his mouth "and when that happens, people will be flying on brooms". Getting annoyed, James walked over to where the drama was happening "piss off you three" he ordered "it's Gryffindor's time to practice, not argue with you" the Slytherin's laughed as Snape smirked "make us". All Sirius could think was 'gladly'. He was about to stand up when a hand gripped onto his arm; the boy looked over to see that it was Remus "don't, let them make the first move" it was good advise and for once, the slightly confused football player listened and did as told.

Seeing that no one was moving or even saying anything, Snape raised a brow to add to his smirk "what?? Cat got your tongues??" he asked, earning two chuckles "or are you all too scared to hurt us??" it took everything for the Gryffindor football players to not attack their enemies - Sirius worse of all. But thankfully, his friend never removed his hand from his arm, somehow keeping him grounded.

Suddenly, Regulus turned to the new Gryffindor with a smirk "so who might you be?? The newbie??" he chuckled before seemingly turning slightly serious "just so you know, you're handing around the wrong people" Surprisingly, this didn't seem to annoy Remus....that or he was good at hiding it "I know" he simply replied, earning confused and taken back looks from both the bullies ad his friends "but as soon as you three leave, that'll change". Instantly, Sirius and James burst out laughing from the come back whilst the other Gryffindor smirked and snickered; the Slytherin's....let's just say if looks could kill, Remus would be six feet under...possibly on fire....whilst being beaten by the devil himself.

"What?? Think you're a smart arse?!" Malfoy hissed out as he boiled with anger; all three were - especially Regulus "you know what we do to smart arses?!". Before anyone could move or say anything, Regulus had launched at the newbie and decked him right in the face!! The new Gryffindor was forced to the ground with a thud, a grunt and a bloody nose; Sirius was up on his feet within second, shoving his brother away as hard as possible as he held a strong and deadly glare "touch or even go near him again, any of you, and I swear I'll kill you". His voice was so terrifyingly calm and carried so much truth that the three bullies stepped away from him before leaving the field. Sirius turned to James and Peter who were knelt down next to Remus as they helped him to sit up; he was crouching down next to his once again injured friend in under a second with worry.

"You okay Moony??" he asked, concern laced within his voice; Remus spat the blood out of his mouth away from his friends before wincing at the pain - he sent a small smile to the worried boy "I'm fine Pads, my nose hurts and I'm not looking forward to the headache later but you and I both know I've felt worse" he tried to reassure....it didn't work "I'm fine, promise". James told his long time friend to take their new roommate to the hospital wing and get checked over and cleaned up as blood was covering his face from the nose down, as well as his white school shirt and tie. Nodding in agreement, the player helped Remus up before they gently walked into the school and through the hallways.

Very soon, the two arrived at the hospital wing. As soon as Madam Pomfrey caught sight of the bloody boy, she rushed him to sit on one of the beds before getting to work; she carefully cleaned the blood away before gently inspecting his nose, relieved to discover that it wasn't broken. The kind woman gave Remus some pain killers, as well as an ice pack; Sirius never left his friends side, talking and making him laugh until Madam Pomfrey declared that they could leave. Upon their arrival, the two were greeted by their roommates who instantly asked how Remus was "I'm fine, my nose isn't broke but will be swollen for a while and will most likely bruise" the injured teen explained.

Once they had triple checked that Remus was okay, they all changed into some comfortable casual clothes - adding their dog tag necklaces which had their own nicknames on. It was a Marauder thing. Sirius had presented their new group member with his own that morning before they left for breakfast; Remus couldn't remove his smile as he promised to never take it off - he intended to keep his promise. The group of friends made their way down to the Great Hall once they were each dressed and ready; they sat at the Gryffindor table before listening to Professor Dumbledore's speech - it was based on how Hogwarts does not accept or tolerate bullying or violence. Madam Pomfrey had obviously told him about Remus's injury and explained how Sirius had ranted about the incident as she checked over her friend.

Once he was finished, they all dug into their dinner - it was kind of like a buffet as the students and teachers could pick whatever they wished from their own table. Over all, the food was delicious. After dinner, the students returned to their dorms; the Marauders decided upon watching TV, playing on the X-box and doing a bit of homework before clock on the wall chimed, alerting the four that it was time for lights out. Quickly changing into their pajamas, they crawled into their beds.

....A Few Moments Later....
