The Message Of Fate

Chapter 15

Remus was stunned. Did he hear the boy right?? Sirius....liked him?! Before either of the two could speak, the door to their dorm swung open to real James....a lipstick covered smug James for that matter. "Have I ever told you two how much I love Lily??" he asked, although they were pretty sure it was more of a statement or a reminder "Lily Evans, my new found girlfriend". His two friends shared a look of surprise before Sirius spoke "the girlfriend part is new but the love part?? Way to many times in my opinion" they each chuckled after the love struck teen dropped his playful glare.

Remus stood from his seat "I'm gonna go to bed, we've had....quite the day" he stated before crawling into his new Gryffindor styles bed - he had already changed into his pajamas as soon as he and his friend had arrived. "Night guys" he called out, earning two pleasant replies "good night Moony". The two original Marauders decided upon doing the same; they took turns to use the bathroom, changed before finding themselves in their comfy beds - Sirius contemplated messaging his extremely silent friend but decided not to. He'd allow Remus to think and sleep on what he had said.

Sunday morning seemed to come way too soon. As they did the previous morning, the three friends eventually got up, dressed and made their way down to the Great Hall to grab some breakfast. Before Remus could leave after breakfast, Dumbledore saw and waved him over; the two original Marauders left them to it. James wanted to go and find Lily of course. "I'm sorry to tell you this Remus...but it's about your parents" the boy listened closely "their trial is tomorrow and...the judge wishes for you to take the stand and tell your side of what happened" the head master explained; Remus couldn't hold back his sigh "you don't have to of course, it completely up to you Remus". The teen thought for a moment before shaking his head "no...I have to go...I have to face them" he had to accept that this was his reality "thank you for telling me Professor". 

After their discussion, the student decided go and fist Sirius - they needed to talk. It took thirty minutes, mostly of his getting lost, but he did it; his friend was sat by the willow tree next to the lake. "Hey" Remus greeted as he approached his friend who stood up upon seeing the other sixteen year old "hey, James is with Lily" he informed earning a small chuckle "of course he is". Remus suddenly felt all of the courage his had attempted to gain on his venture here completely drain from his body "em....about what you said last night" Sirius immediately understood what he was talking about - he had been waiting for this talk "yeah??". The beaten teen tried to speak, to tell his friend what he wanted to....but he couldn't!! "I...em..." he just couldn't get his words out "...never mind" he stepped back "I...I'll see you later" he rushed out before hurrying away, only to feel a hand grip onto his arm and pull him back. 

The next thing Remus knew, a pair of lips had smashed against his own; he was shocked beyond belief as he watched Sirius kiss him - he soon closed his eyes and returned the kiss. The two teens parted, only when their lungs were both screaming for air; they panted as they opened their eyes; Sirius stared at the boys pink and swollen lips before returning his gaze. "...I like you Moony...a lot" he once again admitted; Remus stared up at his slightly taller friend "I....I like you too Padfoot". Feeling over joyed, the black haired teen smiled before leaning down to capture the other sixteen year old's lips once again; he placed his hands on Remus's waist - who wrapped his arms around the others neck and threaded his fingers through the shoulder length hair - as he pressed him against the tree. 

It seemed they had entered a short make out session. Eventually, they parted once again "so...what does this make us??" Remus asked, making the other student think before smirking "Remus Moony Lupin" he started, earning a small chuckle "would you do me the honor of becoming my boyfriend and allow me to take you on a date??" he asked; his crush pretended to think "I'll have to think about it" he replied playfully. It earned him the famous puppy dog eyes, pleading for the obvious; it made Remus smile before his kissed the pout away "of course I;ll be your boyfriend, you numb nuts".

All through out the day, the new couple spent time together. It was now eight at night and the two were back in their shared down, lay on Sirius's bed, cuddling up as they watched some random action movie with a bag of popcorn and bottle of pop. This was when their other two roommates returned to their dorm, greeting their friends before halting at the sight of the couple; James sent the two a suspicious look "what??" Sirius asked, his grin noticeable. "Did you tell him?? Are you two....??" Prongs asked, not trying to reveal anything in case he was wrong; the two reassured him by nodding. 

All you could hear was James exclaim the word "finally!!" he even fist bumped the hair; it made them all laugh, that was for sure. The four roommates sat to finish watching the movie before the clock chimed, informing them that it was time for lights out. They took turns to use the bathroom, changed into their pajamas before going to bed; the couple shared a loving good night kiss before parting for their own beds to fall asleep. 

Remus couldn't sleep for a while. So much was running through his mind. His parents trial, his new school, his new found friends, he now had a boyfriend!! It was all...amazing - except the part about his parents of course. Out of the corner of his eye, Remus noticed his phone had lit up from something; he grabbed it from the side table to see that he had received a text message. It was from Sirius. Smiling, he unlocked his phone and read what had been sent.

Yeah. Life was good. And Remus knew nothing could change that. He wouldn't let it. If he was one thing, he was protective over what he cared for and....loved.
