Alice Liddell watched as Commissioner Gillian Loeb began unlocking a dangerous inmate awaiting execution in a gas chamber. The inmate was a serial killer named Julian Day, aka the Calendar Man. He was obsessed with calendars and all of their holidays. "You owe me this, Julian. That could be... useful," said Black Mask. After the Calendar Man was released out of the gas chamber, Loeb asked, "What is this about, Sionis? Wasn't I always there for you?" Black Mask sneered, "You may have Gillian, but things have changed. We're starting on a new slate, and you're not on it." Then he beckoned two of his men to put Loeb in the gas chamber. "What do you mean I'm not on it?!!!" snapped Loeb. "After all I've done for you?!!!" The two henchmen ignored Loeb's cries as they stuffed him in the gas chamber. "You can't do this to me! I'm the police commissioner, damn it!!!!" yelled Loeb. Alice watched as Loeb choked on the poisonous gas as he fell down, dead. "Show's over, boys," smirked Black Mask. "Let's go." Everyone left as Killer Croc brutally shoved one of Black Mask's men out of the way. The man got slammed onto a nearby glass window. They continued to walk as they headed upstairs so they could meet up with Black Mask's helicopters. Then Alice spotted something that looked like a model four propeller helicopter with a camera. Black Mask noticed it, too and commanded, "Smash that thing! Grab its memory card!" Without breaking his stride, Killer Croc destroyed it. He didn't get the memory card, though. "I told you to grab the memory card!" scolded Black Mask. Killer Croc protested, "You wanted it smashed, so I smashed it!" Black Mask warned, "It better be. Or the next thing that will be smashed will be your face!" Killer Croc growled in anger. Wanting to stay out of the humanoid crocodile's way, Alice hurried to Black Mask's side and asked, "What was that thing?" Black Mask answered, "Some kind of drone that belongs to one of my rivals, Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin." They finally met up with the helicopters that was over Blackgate and Alice was forcibly escorted into one of them. Only Killer Croc stayed behind because he took a sniff in the air and gestured the pilot to fly out of Blackgate. The helicopter flew away, but Alice, from a bird's eye view, she could see Killer Croc fighting a man in a bat like costume. The helicopter flew away which prevented Alice to see more of the fight. Alice couldn't stop thinking what she just saw. Did she just see the Batman? Can he be trusted? She looked at the Cheshire Cat, who appeared and shrugged his shoulders. Thankfully, neither Black Mask or his men could see him. If they could, they could freak out and blast the Cat. Finally they came to Black Mask's headquarters in Gotham Royal Hotel. Finally Alice asked, "Why am I here? What do you want from me?" Black Mask chuckled, "You're here because you got your own agenda. So, without further or do, I'm gonna let you go. Boys, show here the way out." Alice crossed her arms as she said, "I can get out on my own, thank you." She walked out with Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit. She frowned at the White Rabbit who sheepishly smiled. Alice turned to the Cheshire Cat and asked, "Where do we start?" Cheshire Cat smiled as he replied, "First, let's go to Wonderland and see what goes on and on." Alice was surprised that the Cat mentioned Wonderland. She hadn't been there for a long time. "What is going on in Wonderland?" asked Alice. The Cat smiled deviously as he replied, "Answers to what you are seeking. You now have the ability go to Wonderland and Gotham whenever you like. Of course I'll be there to guide you in both worlds. White Rabbit only has a limited trip, he cannot stay in Gotham forever." The White Rabbit pouted, "I wasn't exactly planning on staying in this horrid city. This place gives me the willies." The Cat laughed as he continued, "How to use this gift, I will show you. Think of the place you want to go, and then focus on it. The Gotham you will fall in a deep sleep, while your Wonderland self wanders curiously in Wonderland. You can also do the same when you're in Wonderland. By the way, find a place that is safe while you fall asleep here." Then the Cat and White Rabbit disappeared. Alice walked through the streets in Gotham City until she found somewhere suitable. There was an apartment home near the abandoned Monarch Theatre. The woman who owned the apartment was kind enough to let Alice inside. It was Christmas Eve, after all. The woman's name was Dr. Leslie Thompkins. Leslie made some soup for her and Alice went to bed. She then followed the Cat's advise and thought of Wonderland. Then she focused on the thought. She woke up, and pouted that it didn't work. She got up but didn't exactly leave the bed. The floor started shattering and the bed with Alice fell through. She was falling down in someplace where it looked like one of the White Rabbit's holes. Alice finally made it through, and her clothing turned into what she wore everyday in Wonderland. She wore a navy blue dress with puffy sleeves and a fanned out skirt. She wears a white apron with two pockets that has the astronomical symbols of Venus and Jupiter over her dress. Blood is splattered on her apron. She wore black and white striped stockings underneath along with black knee-high boots with buckles. She also wore a neckless that has the astronomical symbol of Omega. Alice landed softly on the ground and looked around at the somewhat beautiful paradise. The Cat appeared and said, "Welcome back. Now to the business at hand." Alice looked at him and nodded. So without further or do, they walked together on the path way to Wonderland.
