Alice Liddell wasn't the only victim of Dr. Angus Bumby, there were a lot of children coming to him for "appointments." In reality, he turned children into mindless sex slaves, stripping away their memories, thus making them completely forgot who they were. Alice was already angry when she kicked down the door to the chapel. "You... oozing sore of depravity... Children wearing their names around their neck like they are breeding livestock!" snapped Alice disgusted. Bumby laughed, "A declaration of their pedigree. You could use one. They're proud to display their provenance." Alice demanded, "You brute! They can't remember who they are or where they're from. How many minds have you twisted into forgetfulness?" Bumby sighed, "Not enough. Yours would have been a triumph! Still, you're an insane wreck. My work is done." Alice glared at Bumby as she pointed the gun at him. Meanwhile, Batman found Joker in another chapel and laughing to himself. "Oh bats. What a night!" chuckled Joker. Batman angrily picked him up as Joker asked excitedly, "Fresh off a kill and back for more, eh?" Batman replied, "Bane's still alive." Joker pulled out a hall monitor and looked at it. Bane's heart was still beating. Then Joker glared at Batman as he said, "Now that's not FUNNY." Joker threw it down and put a gun on Batman's face. He set him down as Joker punched him in the face. He said, "All this - all this rage. All directed at me, and for what? You know if you'd actually let me finish a sentence, You might learn something. You might learn that we're not so different. You might even learn something about yourself." Batman retorted, "You need to learn how to shut up!" He hit the gun away and punched him to the other side of the chapel. Joker got up and said, "Is all this for you or for me? You must know that I'm a lost cause. But there's still hope for you. Yes. I've got great hopes for you." Batman came over to him and continued to beat him. The next few punches threw the Joker to a stain glass window. Joker angrily picked up two shards and shouted, "You just can't get it through your thick skull! We both exist because of them!!" Batman replied, "Give up! You've lost!" Meanwhile, Alice still had her gun pointed to Bumby. "You've used me and abused me, but you will not destroy me." said Alice at last. Bumby sneered, "No, the damage is done. The old Alice and her Wonderland retreat are demolished. You can't even recognize what's happened. And you're powerless to change it or move against me. I've made certain of it." Alice insisted, "You corrupted my memories, but you failed to make me forget." Bumby pretended to be disappointed. "I could've made you into a tasty bit. Clients out the door waiting for a piece from a raving delusional beauty, with no memories of the past and no sense of the future. But you wouldn't forget; you insisted on holding on to your fantasies. You're mad! Like your sister." Alice snapped, "Don't speak of her! You didn't know her..." Bumby shook his head. "Your sister was a tease. Pretended to despise me. She got what she wanted... In the end." Alice began to lower the gun as she stated, "I'll see you charged. In prison, some half-wit bruiser will make you his sweetheart... And then you'll be executed." Bumby smirked, "Indeed? A hysterical woman roaring outrageous accusations against a respectable social architect and scientist. My God, Alice, who would believe you? I scarcely believe it myself." Alice spat out, "You, Monstrous creature.... Such evil will be punished." Bumby rolled his eyes. He sneered, "By who? By what? Psychotic, silly bitch. Your madness will be punished." Alice raised the gun again at Bumby. He smirked at her again as he gestured her to do it. In the surveillance room, a guard was listening in on Alice and Bumby's conversation and phoned Captain Gordon of this. Both Batman and Gordon have already retaking Blackgate Prison. Batman heard of these developments and was on his way to stop Alice. They were already too late. Alice already pulled the trigger and Bumby fell down, dead. There was a sick smile on his face when he died. Batman had already arrived. "You could have let him live to face justice for his crimes," said Batman. Alice scowled at the thought and replied, "At least he won't continue his horrible crimes. So that counts." Batman shook his head. "No," said Batman. "Even if it is out from the good of your heart, there is no excuse to kill someone." Alice replied, "I don't need an ethics lesson from a man who dresses up like a bat." Batman almost smirked. "Too bad. You just got one." Then he threw a smoke bomb and disappeared. That was when Gordon and a few guards came over to the chapel. Alice offered no resistance when they brought her to her cell.
