Whoever had done it, was professional. Even he, the great tracker Itachi, could not find even the slightest trace. He scouted each of the roofs looking for a trace, but there was not even a smudge. There was nothing whatsoever.

It was clean. Too clean. He had great eyes. One of the best. He knew for a fact there were very few people who could best him.

Whomever did this was highly trained.

Whomever did this was likely Hyuuga.

Would they attack their own? He knew they were ruthless, and cold, but never so much to attack like this.

He looked over to Kakuzu who was fretting over his medical supplies. Slowly, his eyes trailed around the room. All the Akatsuki members were loitering around. The air was silent and heavy. This was likely not good for Hinata's recovery.

He stood, bringing most of the room's attention to him.

"We should leave her to recover." Instantly the room became hostile. Hinata shifted in her sleep, a light whimper breaking the atmosphere.

That was proof enough for most of them. Silently, they shuffled out.

"It is about time for a meeting." Pein said, standing from his place by Hinata's bedside. He had finally finished writing down notes in his little booklet. It was likely a detailed list of possibilities, outcomes, and such. He was always diligent that way.

Slowly, everybody made their way to the living room. Even Hidan, the outrageous loud mouth, was seething quietly. Tobi on the other hand, had switched to Madara. Even Kisame, his fun-loving partner seemed to be fighting inside himself.

He sat beside Konan, who seemed to be the most collected.

"From my notes, it would seem the attacker was none other than a Hyuuga." Pein was calm, despite the fact he could see him clenching the little booklet tightly. It was only an appearance.

"The poison is specific to the Hyuuga clan. It is rare, and only manufactured in the clan itself." Sasori pipped up, adding to the building tension.

"The person was clearly a professional. As we know, Hyuuga are famous not only for their martial arts, but for their assassinations in the underworld." He added to the statement, eyes turning to Zetsu as he shifted uncomfortably.

"Due to Sasori's detailed report, he can conclude that many of the plants used in the poison are highly expensive and hard to import." Zetsu, the professional in all plants, stated.

"Only the Hyuuga clan has the power to do so." Konan, whom he thought to be calm, hissed. He looked down at her, watching the ice in her eyes turn into a storm.

"I fucking thought she was part of that fucking family!" Hidan stood, finally bursting. His purple eyes were half-crazed, his usually slicked back hair messy.

"We know she is from the clan, but we never did know her status." Pein's words hung in the air.

Even he, caught the hidden intention. Hinata was likely from the main family. Judging by the way Neji treated her, she was likely higher in the hierarchy than him.

Hinata was important.

The Hyuuga do not let important people out of their clutches.

"...You do... not need to worry about it...." His head shot around, his heart thumping in flurry at the sound of the voice. It came from none other than Hinata. The girl was leaning against the wall, her face flushed and skin pale. She looked faint and frail. Instantly he was up and by her side, but she waved him off. She also waved Konan off as the girl tried to help steady her. "I... Have something to tell you." She swept back her clammy hair, her breaths short and rapid. Her eyes were there for all to see. But it wasn't a statement, it was just a sick-persons antics.

"You should not be awake-" Sasori started as he tried to hold her, but she pushed him away. She was set on leaning against the wall, with no help from anyone.

"You should be asleep for three more days at least." Kakuzu had none for her stubborn-ness as he scooped her up, holding her bridal style. She winced, but clung to him. She knew he matched her in terms of stubborn-ness. Soon as he tried to move, she taped him, shaking her head.

"I... Need to tell them..." They stared at each other, sharing a silent argument. After a moment, Kakuzu sighed. She looked back to the group, her head lolling slightly. Her pearlescent eyes glowed with fever. "I... Am not just a Hyuuga..." She huffed, talking being a high strain on her. He wanted to dart forward and help, but she looked much too stubborn.

"What do you mean?" Pein was the one to inquire after she had a few huffs of air. Apparently even he, the valiant leader, did not know. Or perhaps he simply wanted to hear it from her. She smiled weakly, her eyes watering with effort. She looked faint.

After a few seconds, her soft voice spoke words of fairytale. "I am... The ex-heiress." She looked as if she would cry, her eyes distant. The words sunk into the room, embedding themselves deeply.

His skin went cold.

How could Kimi hide such a thing?
