She watched as the different Akatsuki members came through the door, her heart fluttering wildly in her chest. She once seen a small bird, who's wings she could hardly see they moved so fast. Sasori called it a humming bird. Her heart felt like the wings of that bird, thrumming so fast it hurt.
She was so excited to see them all, she wanted to hop up and hug them all, but Sasori's head remained heavy on her lap, keeping her in her spot. She met eyes with Hidan, who tilted his head at her, grinning wildly.
"Miss me, Hinata?" She nodded, holding her arms out. His grin widened to a smile, and he walked over. He placed his knee on the couch beside her, opposite of where Sasori slept, then engulfed her in his arms, his body bending around hers.
He smelled of metals and pine trees. An odd combination, but it was his own. She wrapped her arms around him, burying her face into the crook of his neck. A low sound rumbled from him, something akin to a cats purr. He sighed, as if content, as he pressed his nose into her hair, nuzzling until his lips touched her ear. She felt his teeth skim the sensitive flesh, making her meep. She couldn't shift or run though, as Sasori was still sleeping between them. But, despite his gruffness, he knew how much she could handle.
With a light chuckle, he pulled back, his eyes meeting hers. They were gentle, the purple like a pool of liquid lavender as he continued to gaze at her. With sigh, he leaned in, kissed her forehead, then went over to the opposite couch, plopping down. Kakuzu was already beside him, watching her intently.
Deidara was having a discussion with Itachi and Kisame in the corner, their hushed voices to quiet for her to hear. She felt arms wrap around her from behind, and a cheek press against her. Zetsu rubbed his face against hers in a rather abnormal show of affection. She grinned, turning her head to kiss his cheek. A blush colored his cheeks as he sunk back, burring his face into the back on her head, his breath warm on her neck. He stayed like that, arms wrapped around her. It was rather rare for him to hold her, but she enjoyed it none the less.
Kisame, who seemed to have enough of the quiet conversation in the corner, made his way over and sat down beside her, the couch sinking at his weight. She slid down, her hip now pressing against his. Luckily, Sasori merely shifted, his forehead now pressed against her stomach. Kisame laughed as she gripped onto his arm, pressing her cheek against it. He was unable to put his arm around her due to Zetsu clinging to her from behind, so this would do. She missed them. This was her home. This was where she belonged.
Not among the Konaha people.
Hushed voices raised to angry words from the corner. Itachi and Deidara looked to be slowly getting heated.
She looked around, still feeling as if something was missing.
Some important people were missing, however. Tobi, Pain, and Konan were not around.
Well, she was still happy to be embraced as she was.
"What?" Itachi's voice suddenly rose. Not quiet to the point of how loud Hidan was, but to a point where they all turned to look at him. Itachi was not a person to raise his voice.
His irises were bleeding to red as they turned to her, piecing in a way that was unknown to her. She felt a shiver go down her spine, but it was not fear. It was something else.
Then, he was looming in front of her. She felt Sasori jolt, his eyes opening to look up at her. He blinked, looking around. He blinked again, slowly sitting up, eyes drifting to a looming Itachi. Zetsu, was clinging to her harder now, his arms tightening to the point of hurting. She could feel the muscle in Kisame's arm tighten, the cords shifting under her grip.
Itachi was pissed.
It was not something any of them knew how to react too.
"Someone seen you naked?" Itachi's smooth voice was chipped, seething with anger.
Hinata looked up at him, her stomach twisting like someone had jammed a knife into it and twisted. Slowly, she nodded. She could feel Zetsu's arms loosen, and him slink away. But she could not protest, as Itachi had pinned her in her spot with his stare. "My... Back." She clarified, however the heaviness did not seem to lift. Infront of Itachi, under his gaze, his tomoe spun, and she knew she had to tell him all of it. "I was changing then Sai came in, I was facing the other way, and soon as I heard him come in, I dropped down, but he didn't say anything. I ended up on the floor for many hours, but was able to cover myself with a bl-blanket. He sa-he said he seen the scars on my back- and and..." Tears welled up in her eyes, and she let go of Kisame's arm, her hands knotting in the hem of her shirt. "Sasuke asked me about it-and and-" the tears flowed down her face, and everybody watched, unable to move. "They-they all know about... and..." Finally, the worst part. "Sai called my scar-hime." Her body had betrayed her. She spewed it all out against her own wishes. It was like she was under Itachi's spell.
But she knew it was not that. Itachi would never do anything to hurt her.
But she had no control.
She felt hair tickle her nose as Itachi leaned in, curling around her much like Hidan did earlier.
She cried harder.
She loved him so much.
She loved them all so much. She clung to Itachi, burring her face into him.
Finally, after what felt like eternity, her sobs died down.
Now she could feel the shame creeping up on her.
She had not wanted to bother them with it, but, now, they knew it all.
Itachi let her go, making her hide her face with her hands.
And now, they also knew of her scars.
Although she knew they had suspicions, she had managed to hide it.
She loved them... She was scared to see their reactions.
But, they all seemed to be focused on something else now.
"So, we will fucking attack the Konaha gang." Hidan said, as if it was simple. She looked to him, eyes wide. He sat there, a frown replacing his usual grin.
She looked between all the others, eyes widening further.
They all seemed to agree. The tension they held was obvious.
Oh no...
What did she do?
