She was sitting in the living room, watching Tobi and Deidara play video games. She swore this wasn't where she was before? Drearily, she looked around, noticing the house was a bit warped and discolored.
She stood, her movement's exaggerated yet slow. She began to walk through the place, somehow the walls warped into colors of blue and green, turning itself into a never ending field.
It looked like the field in Sasori's last painting. How odd... she kept walking, the blue sky turning dark. Water fell, yet she didn't feel the cold on her skin. But she still stopped, her face turning to the crying sky. The clouds were dark, no light shining through them whatsoever.
"Do you really like us?" Her head snapped down, her eyes widening. She was surrounded by the Akastuki, all their faces blank. Despite the situation, she could feel her heart swell with joy at seeing them. Yes... Yes she liked them. A lot. Their faced changed a bit to resemble a bit of happiness. She looked at each of them, smiling wide.
"You are my Family." She said softly, watching as their faces changed again to be a bit happier.
"But you are not ours." Her heart ripped out of her chest, it felt as if all air left her. Their images warped, then got taken over by the hard rain. She turned around looking for them, but there was no one.
She was all alone.
All alone.
She didn't want to be alone!
BAM!
Lightning streaked across the sky, and she woke up.
She blinked, her eyes adjusting to the darkness quickly. Where was she...? She moved her tongue around in her mouth, trying to make it moist. It was so dry, and tasted metallic.
The room she was in was very weird. Why was she here? She felt numb, and rather disconnected as she stared at the navy blue walls. The roof also seemed to be the same navy color, even the bed she was in was draped in navy blue sheets. She shifted, her fingertips numb, and her hands cold. She felt unnaturally tired, yet she just woke up. She laid there, her head aching. That dream... It really hurt her. After a few moments of laying there, she realized she still had no idea where she was. Did she really want to get up? She didn't have much of a choice. After all, she was alone. She didn't want to be alone.
Movements rough and doll-like, she slid out of the bed and onto the floor. Her toes curling into the plush navy rug, still feeling unnaturally cold. Blandly, she looked herself over. She was still wearing the same cloths as earlier, so nothing must have happened while she was out. That was good, at least. Yet for some reason she didn't feel pleased. Instead, she felt nothing. It was like she lost her heart in that dream.
She took a few steps, her head aching. For whatever reason, she was starting to feel a bit agitated. It was the only feeling that penetrated her numb mind. Yet she was so cold! Animatedly, she rubbed her arm, getting angrier as it did nothing to warm her.
Huffing, she stalked to the door and threw it open; she wanting to yell at someone, or hit something, the feeling was overwhelming.
The door slammed against the wall with a loud bam, her hair flying out of her face from the force of it. She stared at the many people in the living room. They all had their eyes on her, mixed looks of shock and surprise on their faces. She stared at them, blankly, yet intensely. They all seemed to have no real noticeable features, if anything they seemed faceless to her.
She tilted her head robotically. She felt like a doll, the only emotion in her was anger and perhaps a bit of resentment. Each of their faces somehow made her even angrier. So much in fact that she felt something inside her snap. Slowly her expression turned into a glare, she was surprised she even knew how to. But this wasn't her, right? She placed her hand over where her heart use to be, her eyes blank. It was ripped from her, right? Was she even human? She didn't feel human. She felt empty and cold. Her heart was with the Akastuki after all. Right? So why was she here, among all these strangers? Even with all them around her, she was still alone, and that made her mad.
One lone figure stood up. Her eyes darted to him, yet she felt no excitement in seeing him. It was her cousin, who looked to be rather distraught. Emotions... She stared at him hard. Why did he have emotions? Wasn't this a dream like the one that took her heart? Her cousin took a shaky step toward her, as if unsure if it was her. She glared at him, making him freeze. She was jealous of him. He looked so warm. Why wasn't she warm? There was a growing hole in her, and it was filling with bad feelings.
"Do not come near me." The voice that chimed from her was a dark velvety hum. If she could have felt anything, she might have been surprised that it was hers. But she couldn't. She was just an empty shell that was filling with bad.
Her head flopped to the side, her eyes trailing to the front door as it opened.
For the first time since she woke up in this dream, her heart made a light thud. It was from the dark raven hair in her vision. It reminded her of someone, someone special. Then, her eyes met crimson red ones. Her skin began to tingle, as if the warmth was finally returning. She took a step toward him.
It was Itachi. She needed to be near him.
But the emotions inside her crashed when the boys eyes turned to black, his face shadowing confusion. It was just a boy, not her Itachi. It was the other one who looked like him. She felt her heart drop, only the top of her skin warming unnaturally.
Deep inside, her deep dark emotions twisted. Emotions, she was finally feeling them again. Slowly, her eyes winding a fraction. Those dark hateful feelings.... They were real...? Was she... Really awake? She looked around, now noticing that each person in the room looked rather familiar. They were the people from the Konaha gang. Why didn't she notice that earlier?
There was an odd silence as she swayed back and forth, trying to figure out herself.
"Yo' I'm back!" The bright blond bounced into the room, making her blink. Suddenly it rushed to her. She was in the Konaha gangs house, and this wasn't a dream.
Then... What were those dark feelings...? The blond boy's attention turned to her, then suddenly she felt a presence behind her. She made no move to react as her cousin hooked her arms behind her back in a restraint.
Instead, she stood still as her warmth slowly spread from her skin down, trying to fill the gaping hole inside her. With her warmth returning, so did her thoughts. Wait, was she really just acting so... so... dark? This wasn't her..! She shook her head slowly, trying to gain her bearings. What exactly...? She was so confused!
Neji's hold on her tightened, letting her feel the warmth of him. Was this was real? It had to be. The awkwardness of her stitches stretching were an easily identifiable pain to her.
So it had to be real. But what were those feelings she just had? Slowly she lowered her head, her face going blank. What... What was happening to her?
She listened footsteps someone approached her, her cousin's grip tightening on her. Her muscles strained at the odd way he was holding her. Her body protested it, but she made no move to get out, instead she stood there. She was way too confused to think straight.
Someone's feet came into her view, and she shut her eyes. She was ashamed to look at whomever it was. After her dark moment... She wasn't... No, she wasn't herself. At all. She didn't know what was going on, but it wasn't natural.
What was this darkness that was consuming her slowly?
