It is getting dark. Now I'm free, I wasn't going home straight away. For no apparent reason, I feel like I wanted to go to the bookstore back. Not sure if they're closed, we never know until we find out.Hopped into my car and I untie my scarf around me and threw it to the back. I sat there just for a while thinking about my day. Indeed it's a long day. From Mr. Heath to Marsha to Jimmy's lovely family. I let out a breath and took several minutes to close my eyes and relax myself.
Minutes later I drove in the street and took my time. Then my phone trilled and without looking the screen, I plugged in my ear piece and pushed the button. Probably Lydia..
"Hello."
"Hi Cass." It's Marsha. "Was wondering, are home now?"
"No, not in the next hours. Why? Are you alright?"
She chuckled. "F'course I am. Where are you anyway? Why you're not going straight home?"
"Just stopping by at a bookstore, mom. No need to worry." I joked.
"Whatever. I was just checking on you."
I frowned. Never had someone this concerned after my work. "Marsha I'm alright. Besides it was only... What fifteen minutes away? Probably twenty? I don't know but for sure I'm not drunk right now, am I?" I answered.
"Alright. D'you want to have lunch together tomorrow? If you're busy then dinner? If not then the next day? Or-"
"Tomorrow lunch is alright." I laughed. " You could have just message me."
"Oh are you driving right now?"
"No I'm flying." I stayed silent for a second. "Kidding. I'm parking right now."
"At the bookstore? That fast?"
"Yes Marsha, that fast. We talked for the..." I paused to look at the screen and looked at the numbers that took note the time we talked. "... Past nine minutes and forty seconds. See, we talked and never noticed the time."
Marsha laughed. " I see your point. Alright I'll see you tomorrow then. I'll text you the place. Take care."
"Goodbye!"
I'm not sure why she's that concerned but she is a girl with a big heart. I was already parked by the time she bid me so I grabbed my small purse and my notebook. I looked out the bookstore to see if they're open and surprisingly they are. I don't know what I was going to do there. Hopefully Kelly is there so I could chat with her while she's on the cashier.
I got out and realizing I forgot my scarf because the wind bit onto my neck and it tickles me. I feel exposed now I should wear it...
I opened the door back and stretched to reach my scarf that hang on the edge. Once I grabbed, I straighten myself and wrap it around my neck quickly because I couldn't stand the coldness.
I then got out again and started walking to the store. I didn't park that far but enough for me to relax and breath in the fresh air for a while. I might not have this in the next few weeks due to my full schedule from lunch till dinner. Glad I could have my own time for breakfast.
