Chapter 7

I wake up in the double bed with Alex at like 3 in the morning. Jodie or Brandon must have let us go back and sleep. I get up to get some water and look out the window. We're passing by a beach right now, heading towards Bangor. I see Brandon sleeping on the coach so I'm guessing that Jodie is driving. I decided to to go up with her to keep her company, or drive depending on how she's feeling. "Morning Joe." I greeted her while yawning. "Oh thank goodness you're here, Brandon's been asleep for an hour. I was getting lonely." I started laughing. "Do you want something to eat or anything Joe?" I asked nicely. "I could use a snack if you don't mind." "Not at all what do you want?" "I don't care I just need something in my stomach besides knots." "Got it." I went to the kitchen a grab Jodie a granola bar, then one for myself. "Thanks." "Anytime sis."

Jodie and I were driving for and 4 hours now. We switched 2 hours ago so Jodie could take a break then about 15 minutes ago Alex got up and started drive then Jodie went to sleep. We pull the RV into a gas station because we were getting low on fuel. Alex gets out to refill it and I follow him with my rifle just in case. Alex starts to put the gas in when I hear a moaning sound coming from inside the gas station. *Shit* I'm guessing Jodie and Brandon heard it too because the came out of the RV with their rifles loaded. "Kyara, Jodie make sure those things don't come out and if they do kill them. I'll stay with Alex in case there's more coming." Commanded Brandon. Jodie and I went to the other side of the RV. Once those things spot us they all start banging at the windows. "Alex, I don't mean to be rude but is there a why to speed it up?" Asked Jodie. "If there was I would have already done it." Answered Alex. I feel my stomach turning at the site of them all. There had to be at least 10 of them. I feel my stomach turn even worse when I see cracks beginning to develop in the window. "Alex how we doing on that fuel?" I asked, my voice shaking. "Half way there just a few more mi" CRASSSSSHHHHHH! "SHIT THEY BROKE THROUGH! JODIE HELP ME KEEP THESE BASTARDS AWAY FROM ALEX!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Jodie and I start shooting like our lives depended on it(oh wait, it did). We kill about half of them before I have to reload. Before I get the chance two of them pounce on me. I grab both of their skulls and smash them together. I get up and see the other three closing in on Joe. "JODIE LOOK OUT!" I yell as I tackle all three to the ground. I try to hold them down but they're too strong. When they try to get up Jodie shoots them all dead. "Ok girls lets get out of here!" I hear Alex yell from the RV. Jodie and I sprint towards them and jump inside. "That was too close." I said breathing heavily.
