You know what's even better than a good dinner? A good dinner with the greatest company.

And tonight I have the best of both worlds.

Michael took me to a restaurant in Lisbon where I've never been before and the food was delicious.

And he's the best company ever.

"What's your middle name?" Michael asks out of the blue.

"What?" I laugh. "Why?"

"You know mine, so..."

"But already know my middle name."

"No, I don't." He says confused furrowing his eyebrows. "Hold on, your middle name is Ca-"

"Yes, it's Carolina." I nod laughing.

"And everyone calls you by your middle name?" He asks.

"Yeah, I hate my first name."

"You're really different from everyone else and you don't stop surprising me." His words make me chuckle.

"You're surprised, other people are disgusted."

"Why would they?"

"I'm different, you told that yourself, and some people don't like the different." I simply say and take a spin from my drink.

"People are stupid. You're amazing C. And the fact you're different, it's what makes you even more special." He says resting his hand on mine and squeezes it making a smile appears on my lips.

"Thanks." I smile.

"For what?"

"For being my friend."

"I'm the one who's grateful for having an amazing, awesome friend like you."

"Michael, we are late once again! Rikki is already there" I say dragging him down the big street.

"Calm down." He chuckles. I grab his hand and start to walk faster. "You really want to make me trip over my feet and fall on the floor, don't you?" He asks as we pass through the big crowd.

I stop and turn around to face him.

"I would never want to see you in such embarrassing situation." I say with a cheeky smile. "Let's go, I already saw Rikki." I say. He wraps his arm around my shoulders and we walk in the direction of the blond haired girl.

And that's when I noticed Nat beside her.

"Hi guys." Rikki says waving and with her usual smile on her lips.

"Hi!" Michael and I say in union.

Nat don't say anything.

"Wishes for 2016." Rikki says making me think.

There's a lot of things I would like for 2016. But it's stupid material things, like a new guitar or a new pair of doc martens.

Although, there's a thing that I wish the most even knowing it's impossible.

I want Michael beside me more often.

It's impossible. I know.

This next year, he will be traveling around the world and I'll be here. Then I'll graduate and we will be still traveling. I'll go to college and we will be God knows where working with his band.

I feel selfish for wanting him by my side. I'm just a friend.

But he brings me something so good. And something as simple as happiness.
