OUR TREES
As Singapore develops, we want to retain majestic old trees and some of our scenic, tree-lined roads. Besides cooling the streets, trees provide a sense of place and identity.RUSTIC COAST
The north-east coast of Singapore boasts a cluster of sandy beaches, idyllic islands, lush greenery and scenic waterfronts that provide a welcome relief from the city's hustle and bustle. (from the exciting family resorts at Pasir Ris to the peaceful Punggol Point, tranquil Changi Village and rustic Pulau Ubin, there are many places for a weekend getaway)URBAN VILLAGES
Singapore is a cosmopolitan city. We love our kopi-c and cafe latte. We are just as comfortable in hawker centres as swanky restaurants. (singapore spirit) Urban Villages such as Thomson and Siglap reflect the evolving mix of cultures in Singapore. We enhanced these places by improving the walking and dining experience of these food havens.
-
Each with its own local identities, Katong and Balestier are two neighbourhoods where the shophouses are ornately beautiful, the streetscape eclectic and the food amazing. These areas have strong history and heritage. We want to keep them to persevere our social and cultural memories.
