- Fastest growing population in the world (700m)
- self sufficient before 2006
- imports 6m tons of wheat
- dry spell in India
- shortage of pure water
- farmers have to dig deeper for wells, where the water is high in salt content which is not good for the plants.
- farmers in debt have been driven to poverty and suicide.
- most people do not have access to clean water
- people have migrated because of shortage of water
- shortage of water can produce lesser crops
- it takes 3.4 litres to grow 1 gram of rice
- Britain imports 50% of their food
- climate change - the world is getting more and more extreme.

Kenya

- rains no longer come when expected
- people are witnessing a dramatic change
- if climate was okay, there would be tall green grass and the place would look beautiful
- cattles reared are like skeletons
- everyone experiencing poverty and hunger
- hundreds of cattle have been lost to drought
- many DRIED RIVERBEDS. Where have all the water gone?
- almino (??) effect has a great effect on the world
- some countries can gain from climate change e.g. canada warmer world makes them a better place to live in
- poverty and hunger has driven people to create riots and violence.
- food will get more and more scarce in the future.

Singapore
- Any disturbance in our neighboring country will affect Singapore
- Industrial will be affected

Mexico City
- Drinks the most soft drinks in the world
- have declared war on junk food and sugar
- obesity rate is high
- Mcdonald ads have been decreasing
- Rice is now brown rice
- MOE have encouraged schools to be healthier

Our food don't come easy. Farmers toil in farms to put food on our table.
